recuperation rate

How long does it take to get back to normal after the vsg? I would like to know so I can plan how long I need to have off from work.

I had a post going earlier and most people with VSG's took around 2 weeks off work and a great deal of them (with desk jobs) went back earlier. They said the only real pain they had was in thier stomachs, kind of like they had done a ton of sit-ups. I've already asked for 2 weeks off, but I'm leaving on a Friday for Mexico and having the surgery on a Saturday therefore I'll get back nice and early in week 1 and have some decent recoup time.  I think the biggest issue will be energy and soar stomach.

My surgery is on Monday, I come back on Thursday.  I am scheduled to go back the next Monday, but may not go back..just depends on how I feel.  I will have 5 more sick days, 2 Personal day left.  Anyway.
