Topic: This is to All My Wonderful Friends (I Appreciate You!!!)
Dear Lord, Every single evening As I'm lying here in bed, This tiny little Prayer Keeps running through my head: God bless all my family Wherever they may be, Keep them warm and safe from harm For they're so close to me. And God, there is one more thing I wish that you could do; Hope you don't mind me asking, Please bless my computer too. Now I know that it's unusual To Bless a motherboard, But listen just a second While I explain it to you, Lord. You see, that little metal box Holds more than odds and ends; Inside those small compartments Rest so many of my friends. I know so much about them By the kindness that they give, And this little scrap of metal Takes me in to where they live. By faith is how I know them Much the same as you. We share in what life brings us And from that our friendships grew. Please take an extra minute From your duties up above, To bless those in my address book That's filled with so much love. Wherever else this prayer may reach To each and every friend, Bless each e-mail inbox And each person who hits "send". When you update your Heavenly list On your own Great CD-ROM, Bless everyone who says this prayer.

Hi Kelly I am, at 8:00 am on Friday! I am both scared and excited. The only other surgery I 've had was my tonsils at 6 yrs old. I can barely remember back that far. LOL!! I'm 55 now. I will be thinking of you, take care Janis King Reno NV

I CAN do ALL THINGS through CHRIST who STRENGTHENS ME! That's what I tell myself. I can and I will do this!! I pray daily for the peace of God to comfort me and I am comforted. You will be fine. You've got a whole family here rallying around you to support you! Going into the unknown can always present fear if we allow it to or we can take going into the unknown as an opportunity of a lifetime that will forever change our lives for the best life yet! You need to talk just post we'll be here to listen and to get you the best answers for you. I go in MONDAY. I hope once I'm home I can encourage you with my experience, which I have already declared to be blessed and I speak that for yours too! Hugs and Kisses

Topic: Starting my 5 day Clear Liquid Fast
Greetings all, Well Tmorrow I start my clear liquid fast. This I think is going to be the hardest for me. It is probably all mental. I have been waiting to have surgery for almost 10 months. Now I am less than a week away. Knowing that the Lord is with me makes it that much easier. I guess now is a time for fasting and prayer. Well I will drop a line when I go threw my bowel prep and the night before surgery. God Bless.

I was told I had to be off nicotine for 2 months before my doctor would operate . . . so that day (Oct. 3) I quit cold turkey . . . along with caffine and carbonation .. . also things he says no to . . . and I had my lapband surgery on Dec. 3 .. . and feelin' better all the time! Chris

Here's hoping you ladies relax and start to feel better and more confident! I had lapband on Dec 3, and I feel guilty saying it went well, and I'm back at work - and drinking my liquids . . . sure . . .I get hungry sometimes, and my stomach growls - but it's part of what we all have to go through. Drinking more water and Propel helps . . . I don't get to go on mushies until next Monday . . . but that is getting closer and closer. A lot of what you think of as hunger is head hunger . . . because your body is used to getting it's way! Do you have hobbies or projects you can work on to take your mind off thinking about food? Just put one foot in front of the other! We can all get through this :D And there is always going for a walk when the hunger monster is yelling at you . . . keep moving and moving and moving! Hang in there . . .this part will also pass . . . Chris

Topic: PATs today
I went in for my PATs this morning and was very nervous about finding out how much the surgery was going to cost out of pocket for me ... also concerned because I had gained one pound (well gained 6 but lost 5 lol) and was terrified that they would cancel the surgery ... but to my surprise today turned out very well. PATs only took about 2 1/2 hours; all of my tests came back great; my one pound gain was a non-issue and the surgery is giong to cost much LESS than we had originally thought. So, I am still on for the 27th and am super excited!!!

Congratulations!!! So glad to hear you are home and doing OK. Yes, you do need to cough and keep doing that deep breathing. Just hold a good pillow to your tummy and try to cough! Hang in there - every day is getting better for me and my surgery was Dec. 6! Welcome home! Nancy
