I lost my day planner, and I have been trying to call Dr. J's office to find out when my post - op appointment is, and I cannot get anyone to answer the phone. I push zero for the operator and still get a machine that says "don't leave a message." I am so frustrated. I love Dr. J, but something is not right about his office. It is very, very hard to get someone to answer a phone. (I am trying reeeeaaaaly hard not to curse here) Do any of you have the extension numbers? They were in my day planner too. I am so lost without it, lost it while on my pain meds, so I have no idea where it is.

I think I would be leery of anyone who offers any easier or softer way- I know personally, I have had my fill of Painless diets- they got me right where I am today- I am following the meal plan to the letter, as well as the exercise guidelines- Be cautious and if you don't have a good feeling about your surgeon, go to another- I think a 10 day liquid diet beforehand is approorpriate- I did 10 days to shrink my organs before being banded- I am now a little over a week in and have lost 16 pounds- Good Luck!

I don't want to encourage you one way or another, but I too cheated almost everyday. I stuck to the liquid diet all day, except for dinner. I would have a can of tuna with my broth. Friday, 2 days before my surgery, I binged on a ribeye sandwhich. On Saturday and Sunday, I was having full liquids for a couple meals. I had my surgery on Dec. 10th and everything went just fine. No complications. It won't kill you, but try to find things with little to no calories. Protein is your best bet, because it will fill that void. Good luck with your surgery!
