My doctor told me that as long as they were progressing through the normal "bruise stages" (i.e. you know, purple, green, yellow, etc) that it was ok.. but if they were staying the purply color or continued to "pop up" to let him know because it could be you are doing too much. Just be careful and watch the progress of them. It never hurts to call and ask! They would rather you did that than ignore things that seem unusual.

I tell my husband the same thing every time I get sick ... Its all trial and error. One day I can eat something ... the next time I can't. Right now I can't drink anything but hot tea. I am doing okay with food ... but just depends on the moment I guess.

It's all about trial and error....I have learned what I can and can't eat at this stage in the game.....I'll try the same food that I just threw up again in a couple of weeks as the body is constantly changing. My NUt recommended that when you try something new, only eat a few spoons full and wait 15-20 minutes and see how your puch reacts. Good Luck.....its all trial and error!!!

Definately understand the feelings...I'm almost a month out and I'm having the same issues. Everyone i've talked to whose post-op says its normal and to be patient that the body is still trying to adjust! So, just be patient and don't poke your eye out, yet! LOL! Angel

Ok...sometimes I can eat, sometimes I can't. Sometimes I can drink - sometimes I can't. I am so sick of this - not knowing how something is going to go down or stay down. I am seriously annoyed! It is a month tomorrow and I feel very frustrated with how slow this process seems - and how difficult it is to figure out what works and what doesn't. I am going to poke my eye out one of these days *L* Anyone else in the same place? Jen

I get the "lay down and I'll stick you" scenerio . . . Good luck! and I'm just a BIT to far south to be a walking buddy . . . Chula Vista . . . good luck!

I'm glad to know that its normal to hold onto weight so soon after surgery. I had mine on 18 Dec. I was starting to wonder if I was doing something wrong!
