I am roughly 3 1/2 weeks out and have lost 27lbs ... which puts me in ONEDERLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooooo happy!!! It has been almost 2 years since I have been here. 
Now if I could up my water and protein I'm sure I could start dropping a little more too LOL

Oh my gosh! I'm going through the same thing right now! Last week I was able to eat foil baked chicken. Tried it last night and I started the dog slobber! I could eat hot sauce without a problem the second week after surgery and now my stomach won't take it! Took one small bite of rice and that didn't sit well at all. 
It gets very frustrating because I feel so hungry!

WOW! I am a cash patient and I only have a $200.00 fill cost after the first year. My fills right now are included in my original payment for the first year. I am in the Long Beach area but would love to chat. I was banded 12/10/07 and I am really struggling with what to eat and what not to eat. I did not even lose one pound last week!

I know you said 12/20, but I had mine on 12/10. How are you doing? I am not losing what I thought I would. I struggle with what to eat and not to eat. I was a little unfortunate as I never had a chance to talk to anyone before my surgery so I am going at this blind.
Are you eating regular food already?

I had roux-y on 12/20/07. I am happy with my weight loss so far but I don't know what the weight-loss rate sould be. I have lost a total of 26 pounds so far. I feel it should maybe be more.

Wow...you are the first person I have found! Yes, they give you a card with an id number on it. I think you need to get that from the doctor. I haven't logged on yet, I was a little confused over this. I got mine 12/20/7. We need to stay in touch 
It is a newer band out by Johnson and Johnson, guess it fits some people better. I am surprised your surgeon didnt tell you he put it in. Supposedly the port is flatter and it holds more saline. It has just been around a few months. When I find out more, I will let you know. Also the post op time for things is sooo less. 4 weeks you can have your first fill and 3rd week out you can eat regular food.

Yes, I have the Realize Band. I was banded on 12/18/07, in San Diego. Honestly I didn't know I was getting this new type of band until my first fill last week. My nutritionist sent me the Realize packet with all the online support. I have not been able to log onto that support system yet because I do not have my band id number and customer service is closed on the weekends. I will register on Tuesday. Do you have this band type???
