Topic: RE: Anyone frustrated with slow weight loss???
Remember that you have been loosing weight for 5-6 months now.... and everyone hits plateaus. I did not do anything pre-op so mine will probably be a little later than yours.
I agree about the water- the more you drink the more your body will lose.

Thanks Genesis... I appreciate it! I am working on the water... really trying to pu**** I do exercise daily, but am only able to walk 5-10min on the treadmill or ride the exercycle 2 miles at a time (I have bad arthritis and fibromyalgia)... I am trying to SLOWLY increase my short little workouts! I also do the Weigh2Win bariatric exercise DVD.

It sounds like your main problem is that you are not taking in enough fluid. That's the best way to increase your weight loss. Make sure you get up to a minimum of 64 ounces a day. That should also help with your hunger.
If you exercise try to gradually add an additional 15 minutes to your routine, and if you don't exercise, start. Even 30 minutes of walking is better than nothing.
Hang in there! We're here for you whenever you need us.

If you are carb sensitive, then the fruit may be too many carbs for you.
Are you tracking your intake? Getting 80 grams of protein? Staying under your calorie level?
Also, drinking water will help. The more water you drink, the more water your body will give up, if your body thinks it does not get enough water, it will hold onto whatever you give it.

I had my surgery on dec 19, I have lost 39 pounds so I know what you mean. I hope things will be better next month. I start with a personaly trainer next week, so maybe that will help.
Topic: RE: Alcohol?????
Actually Cerena, dry red (and white) wine does NOT have a lot of sugar. That would be a good choice if you drink. Sweet wines, fortified wines... those Do have a lot of sugar. Same with beer and mixed drinks that have fruit juices, aperitifs, etc. etc. Stay away from all of those.
So go with chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, merlot, cabernet, pinot noir, red burgundy (from France, not the fake Cali screw-top red burg), white burgs... yummmm... now I have to go pull a cork on something!
I'm two month post-op and (as you can tell) wine is an obsession of mine. I sipped a glass of red burgundy last weekend at a party just as you'd like to do. No problems for me. The alcohol *definitely* hits faster so be careful and do not drive.
Have fun.

Hi Angel, thanks for your ideas. I do get enough protein... I am still eating 3 small meals and 2 snacks (snacks are cheese sticks, sometimes fruit, usually a carb control yogurt and a few nuts) - 3 meals doesn't work yet because I am always hungry.... I am exercising, but I am still only able to do a max of 10 min on the treadmill, or 2 miles on the exercycle... Maybe I am eating too much? I definately never feel "full" so I do have to just serve myself a small (1/4-1/2 cup portion) and eat no more.... I am lacking in fluid intake overall, and am wondering if I should switch one of my snacks to a protein shake instead of food? Soooooooooo frustrating! At least I'm not gaining!!!! Thnaks again!
