I think this particular board is ripe for Last Rites.

I'm almost two year out as well, Jana, I'm also having to re-focus on the basics. I've drifted up to my personally 'max' weight range and need to take myself down a few lbs.

What's your situation?

First...Becky...you look AMAZING!!!!!!  I CANNOT lose this last 20-25 lbs. Haven't lost ANY weight since May. I'm happy but thinking that my goal isn't realistic(it was when I was 21...but now I'm 50).  So I'm starting to believe that where I am is my lowest or ideal maintainable weight. Hoping thats not so but truthfully thinking it is.

I still have days when I can't get in 1000 calories and then there are others when I'm starving...eating way too many carbs and my calories are in the 1600 range.  I'm afraid that I have no control and am reverting back to old bad habits.
Am I the only one?????

I am right with you.  I am about 14 pounds away from where I want to be and it is discouraging. I stayed  at the same weight (in a 3 pound range) for about 6 months. I am now back to keeping track of calories and am starting to lose a little more again.  I just feel discouraged.  I know I have eaten more carbs and sugar... it is frustrating.  I am back to really monitoring myself and restricting myself to 1200-1300 calories a day.  I am wondering if everyone else stays at 1200 calories a day.  I can eat about 1 cup of food at a time... is everyone else at that amount... that I stretched out my stoma... am I normal?  Just discouraged and it is a struggle to stay at that calorie amount... I feel like I am really dieting again.

This board has gone so quiet, and I am as guilty as anyone. I wonder if it's possible for a board that goes quiet to come back to life.. Well here is my 18 month update just in case people check in...

I've lost 230+ lbs from my highest weight, 254lbs, and I now range between 220 and 223 lbs. I went as low as 215 but my body drifted up to where I am now and I seem to have stabilized here.
And I'm F'ing THRILLED with this weight.

Two photos taken the other day while visiting my brother's family in Corpus Christi.

Me and my 12 year old nephew Logan.

<br />
Me and my 2 and a half year old niece Jada.

Other changes in my life are as dramatic as the shrunken waistline, and deeply rewarding. I write this with all sincerity; WLS saved my life.

Hi All!

Went to visit DeAnna the other night in Monterey, and we went to the Advanced WLS group at CHOMP.  Can you believe that we're already 17 months out?  How crazy is that?  And between us we've lost 295 pounds!  It seems like just yesterday that we were meeting for the first time in the hallway at Memorial Medical Center, one day post-op for DeAnna, and two days for me!
It's gotten alot harder to maintain now, but so worth it after looking at our comparison before and after! How are you all doing??

Miss you all, hope you're doing well!
