I'm a treadmill girl! I do 20-30 minutes at an average speed of 3.2mph... while watching TV. I've also got an elliptical that I need to start using! I've lost all my padding and sitting is no longer comfortable!
With the warmer weather, you should be able to switch it up and find something enjoyable... swimming, biking, walking the mall (while chatting with a friend), fertilizing the yard or using a push mower... There are lots of options.
Working out with a buddy will make the workout go by faster!

I'll be 4 months post-RNY on 4/18, and I've lost 68 pounds. There have been many stalls during my 4 months! I went weeks without loosing and then dropped a couple pounds. And then dropped another 6 over the last week. I'm sure I'm in for another stall!
It's hard not to compare, and I think most of us wish we could get to goal NOW. Slow and healthy is best!
If you think your loss is significantly slow, talk to your doc. Could be medications that you are on... switching might help. Not getting enough sleep (or stopping use of your CPAP before you should) can also slow your progress.
Take care,
kris

I'm shedding... must be spring ;-}
I'll be 4 months post-RNY tomorrow. The shedding started slowly about 3 weeks ago. The last week has been really bad - clogging the shower, all over me and the bathroom. I have to put 'product' in my hair, and I'm disgusted by how much hair is on my hands.
I had my hair cut and colored today. The stylist suggested wearing my natural curly hair as curly to make it look thicker. Uh... no thanks! I do leave the back mostly curly, but not the front. I'm thinning a lot on the top! I went through this before with a previous surgery. I know it will get really thin, but it will grow back... eventually.
There are two camps... 1) Beef up on protein and other supplements... 2) If it's going to happen, then it'll happen. I belong to camp #2.

My surgery was on 12-7-07. I lost 21.5 before surgery and 74 since my RNY!!! I was also feeling a bit down about my loss, but now I can see that I'm right on track with everyone else!!! 95.5 lbs. total in 5 months, yay!!!!
Topic: RE: December 19, 2007 LapBand...anyone else lapband on that date?
Gained up until the day of my surgery - down 40ish since my surgery ("ish" since its Monday and I weigh my self every Tuesday!).
Topic: RE: Confused about protein shakes .......
My dr. is the same way. He wants us to have 50 gms, but refuses to consider shakes and bars good sources. What I think is funny though, they only want you to eat 1/4 cup at each meal, and that little amount its almost impossible to get the amount needed per day. I supplement ocassionally, and try to find high protein choices. Luckily I can tolerate milk, which helps.
Topic: RE: Easy Way out!! I put this on the main board also... What do you think???
well said Easter. Your post put me in tears because it is so true. Especially thinking about all the risks we made in order to have a healthier life in the long-run. I feel sorry for ignorant people.

I'm enjoying step-aerobics at the local gym here. I'm trying to get there at least three days per week.
