Topic: RE: Dec 27 - how is everyone doing???????????
I'm with you! I would mortgage my home to pay for this surgery if I had to! My only concern is being dizzy. My Dr. thinks it's iron. Had blood tested on Wednesday and am waiting to get results. Have lost 74 lbs and am wearing size 8. Haven't done that since high school. Dr. thinks I should get down to 110 before the plateau. I highly doubt it because I don't ever remember being that low! He wants me to start drinking about 40-60 gr. of protein a day. I had been drinking 20 gr. a day. Can really eat about any food. Still haven't tried sugar!

Hi Christine and everyone in the Dec-2007 board, im new to OH, my name is Mara and I am doing fantastic.I have learned about patience and perseverance with this surgery and not to compare myself to others. I havent had any problems and I tolerate everything I eat. Decaff herbal tea has saved me from getting dehydrated. Now im finally been able to drink cold water. My journey started on 12/26/07. I loose extremely slow but steady. I have gone from a size 24W pants to size 16 misses. I am wearing size 8-10 tops.
Topic: RE: Six Months out... How is the weight loss?
Hi---you've done awesome! I'll be 6 months on the 19th. I haven't weighed this week but last checked was at 82 lbs loss. I was hoping to hit 100 by 6 mos, but unless I get on the ball next week..that's out of the question =)
Sorry you had to go back to the hospital =(
I have another ck up first part of July. The only thing with me so far is the surgeon is wanting to ck my opening to my stomach to see if it should be stretched out some bec I'm unable to eat meat. Lately though, I can eat grilled shrimp and I have ate a couple pcs of little cubed chicken that you put on a salad. I still can't eat much of anything else. I have literally lost all of my weight eating soup, mashed/baked potatoes, crackers, fruit for the most part along w/protein shakes.
I'm really happy that I've lost my weight but hoping to keep going. It's slowed up so much but I know I need to work out A LOT MORE!
Best of luck.. WBS

Hi all!
Soooooo ... how is everyone doing??? Not just the weight loss ... but overall ... how are you feeling? eating? drinking? all of it???????????
I am down about 79lbs with 20 to go (woohoooooooooooo). I have gone from a 22/24 into a 10/12 bottom ... from an XXL top into a M!!
Unfortunately, I had to undergo surgery last Monday to have my gallbladder removed but have been feeling phenominal since! I can tolerate food so much better now. I do still struggle with my fluids but now that it is hot I've done better Overall, I feel GREAT!!! I would not change my mind about this surgery if I could!

I am down 118 pounds including the 15 preop pounds! My surgery date was 12-10-07, I have only vomited three times, barb-b-que ribs, chicken breast and sugar free murray oreo cookie, dont know why but didnt work. Other than that my labs have been great I just had to start some b12 and iron but nothing dangerously low.
