Hi, I've gained about 25lbs. Pouch still works but kinda at a point of flustration. Still afraid of sugar and go lite on starch but must graze. I'm in need of something also.

Topic: RE: Question about Tummy Tuck surgery
Hi.  My insurance company WOULD pay for the panniculectomy, but would not pay for a tummy tuck (or abdominoplasty).  I paid about $8000 (he gave me quite a discount) for my extended abdominoplasty.  13lbs of skin removed.  I LOVE IT!!! and I had NOOOOOOOOOO pain!!!!
I say find a way to make it happen and GO FOR IT!!!!!!!

I tried to get insurance to cover it because of a reoccuring umbilical hernia.  They would cover the hernia repair but not the skin removal.  A panniculectomy is different from a tummy tuck.  A tummy tuck works with the muscles, etc (a lot more involved) a panniculectomy JUST removes the excess skin (apron).  My surgeon went ahead and did the umbilical hernia repair and did the panniculectomy too.  I was VERY appreciative!!   I do know that it is VERY important that if you have rashes to GO to the doctor to get them documented.  The more documentation the better chances you have of getting it covered.  I never got rashes though.  Good luck!

I am right with you.  I am getting that panicky feeling with gaining some weight back.  I am up about 20 lbs too.  I am reading a book called "Intuitive Eating" and am trying to adapt those principles into my life.  Right now I am just trying to exercise hard, have mindful eating, and lose back to what I want... THEN ... try the whole maintainance thing again... we will see.  If you have any ideas... input... etc ... let me know!

I am interested in seeing an answer to your question. I'm up 22 lbs and starting to get desparate. This summer is going to be focused on losing that weight

I sure hope someone can answer your questions, as I am asking myself the same things. I did really great until the holidays but I've been really screwing up lately. I just read somewhere that "Saturday is the new Thanksgiving". I guess I need to find more things to keep me busy instead of grazing. Good luck to you (and me too).
