Well sucks to be me!!! The insurance denied it, they said it wasn't included in my plan, they also said i can't appeal something that is not included in my plan. I have an email from CIGNA saying it was included if medically neccessary, so don't know where to go from here. I AM SO SAD!!! Any help would be wonderful.
Topic: i got my date!!
at the end of last week my surgeons office called to tell me that my surgeon had one date left for this year and it was december 19th. i was asked if i wanted to take it and of course i said yes! i know christmas is right around the corner from it and with 2 younger children (10 and 6) i will need lots of help but my hubby will be there and my mom, sister and several close friends. i cant wait, finally after years of waiting its finally happening!

I just got the call that I was approved and my surgery date is 12/10! 
For the first time, I actual feel like this is really going to happen.. nerves are setting in, but I cant wait! Looking forward to starting my new and improved life!

Surgery date of December 21st. Possible earlier if I change surgery centers. I just can't wait, so a little farther drive is fine with me.

I am so excited I dont know what to do with myself. I dont think I have been this excited about anything I have done in my adult life. I feel as though I will finally be getting my life back and a better me. My surgery date is 12/27/07 @ 7:30. I am pretty sure I will have to be there earlier but I havent received my package yet from the office. Keep me in ur prayers for a successful journey!!!

I finally got a surgery date of December 17th, 2007. I am having a distal RNY and cannot wait to be on the losers bench.

I FINALLY have a date. December 17, 2007 will be the beginning for the new me. I have been waiting so long to be able to say that I have a date. I started the journey to weight loss surgery in January of 2006 and finally got insurance approval on October 22, 2007 and a surgery date was set on October 30, 2007. YEA for ME!

Hi all! Looks like the board is starting to get busy, finally! Congrats to all of us who have gotten out December dates!! I'm sure everyone is excited. I know I am!
I'm Kathy, from Baltimore MD. I'm having RNY on 12/5/07. I post on the MD board, and I'm very happy that this board is getting a little busier. I look forward to getting to know people here better as we count down the days to our big days.
