Topic: Surgery Date 7 Dec 07 - Really fast
I guess I am scared. I have multiple health problems besides the obvious. I made the mistake and went into the obituary's and even though I didn't know those people my heart went out to them. Now I keep thinking that I won't make it after surgery. Is this normal? Does anyone else feel this way?
I applied to have this surgery done in May 07 and saw the doctor in October and then found out I can have it done on 7 Dec 07. Anybody else have it this fast?
I haven't even quit smoking yet. I am sorry I am just venting. :_o

I didn't think about it too much - but you are right about the holiday being so close. One thing I did think about is that this is the first time that I was ever off so many days during the holidays! I am a nurse and for years had to work either Christmas eve or day. I will really be able to concentrate on the real meaning of Christmas without all of the running around trying to get things done and missing the reason for the season - the birth of my Lord! My family says they will help with the shopping and the dinner ( I always do a big dinner with the family and have about 17 people in). THis year will be toned down some, but we will still be about to enjoy the day.

I have a date in December too! It's Dec. 12th! Looking forward to hearing from all Dec people. Knowing that we are in it together helps bring the anxiety down. Doing the happy dance!
Topic: So we all have December Dates . . . . YEA!
It's going to be a big month for all of us . . . bypassing the holiday food (for a great reason!) . . . getting ready with various pre-op diets . . . having nerves on edge waiting . . . reading through all the forums for any tidbit of info we can arm ourselves with . . . and here we go! Now . . .
If we're just outpatients - what do we need to take with us to the hospital? Are we there for 6-8 hours I would imagine? I have a 5 hour class on the 28th that will cover all these questions - but damn . . . I'm to impatient and want to know stuff now!
Good luck to everyone! We'll be sittin' pretty for the New Year!

December 3rd Banding! I'm not one of the college kids . . .I could be the mom . . . but I'm so excited about this . . . everyone asks if I'm worried . . . heck I've had c-sections, a shattered ankle . . . quit smoking cold turkey for this . . . I think the procedure itself should be a breeze! (I'm being POSITIVE here!) Good luck to everyone - I can't WAIT!
