Congrats to you! I will be just a day after you (Dec 7). I will be having the RNY. Sorry I don't live in Jacksonville area, I am in Mesa Arizona.
Topic: Date scheduled... happy, nervous, excited, scared...
It feels like forever since I started the whole process of getting gastric bypass (RNY). I am so happy I am FINALLY approved and have a surgery date of Dec. 7th, 2007. Yet, all the other emotions have jumped on board too. I see so many success stories and am excited. Yet, nervous and scared seem to jump in there. It will definitely be a new lifestyle and I am anxous to start it.

Topic: Bought a new scale . . .
My old scale was OK . . . but I want to make sure I know what I'm loosing . . . start on liquid diet with a small dinner for 2 weeks on Monday the 19th. Trying to cut back this week . . . this is not going to be fun I'm sure - but only 20 days to go! I get 3 oz of turkey for Thanksgiving . . . but . . . my Thanksgiving is that I'm getting this band!

I'm sure you will get all your questions answered on the 28th. Wear something comfortable, slip on shoes too as that always helps! Good Luck!

I'm the 14th! Gosh, I have been so engrossed with getting everything done before my surgery, that I didn't even think about Christmas dinner! UGH! I'll have to come up with something for the family before hand, even though my husband is wonderful. I don't think that I will miss the "dinner" but I'll be thinking about what I can wear at next year's Christmas. Plus I'll be able to go see a Christmas play without worrying if I can fit in the seat or not.

Gosh, right before Christmas! I too am a revision. I had VBG in 92' only lost about 60 lbs. I'm having an open RNY GB on Dec.14th. Good Luck to you!

I too read the memorials and felt so bad for everyone. I don't know if it was a good idea reading this before hand or not. I'm thinking about what if I don't make it and it is so close to Christmas. I have to snap out of it and realize more people "make it"than not. You might want to quit smoking to get that out of the way. It's hard, I've been there many years ago but it was worth it! Good Luck and I'm sure you will do just fine! Pray!
