Topic: Two week December procedure countdown! Yea!!!
OK . . . I (and I assume many others out there) start my protein drink diet today! It's really happening - and all this will be behind us soon! Some people are talking about sleeping the "night before" and I was having trouble sleeping Saturday night already - I'm getting sooooo excited! Have a great day everyone!

I think it would be a great idea to keep in touch and go through this together. I am now just wanting to get it done. I have pre-op testing on Nov. 30th and education class at that same time. I am excited to get that all done and over with. What is your upcoming schedule going to be? Has your surgeon given you info as to what your diet will be after surgery? I guess I will get that info on Nov. 30th. It will be good to compare info, etc. Thanks!

Topic: December 11th Surgery
I am having my lap-band surgery on December 11th and I am starting to get nervous. I start the clear liquid diet on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. I know it will be difficult and I am trying to mentally prepare for that. Is anyone else scared? I am not scared of the surgery itself I am scared of after. What if I do all this and nothing changes. Then all have done is set up me up to be very miserables

Has anyone else been over 400 lbs and had the sleeve performed Lapriscopically? My doctor said I need to lose 80 lbs before the surgery???? I currently weigh 430. Is this normal procedure?? Thank you

Yes Im having surgery Dec 3,,,im really excited,,nervous.. Im from Kissimmee, Fl and I'm going to have it done in Ocala with Dr. Jawad.
