hello this is my first time on i have been reading the blogs and i am confused all mention having to fast before the surgery i was told i dont have to do this my surgery is dec 3 my girlfriend had to do medifast but i have been told i can eat food the night before any one with insite on this also what kind of preop tests are there i have two ultra sounds plus preadmis testing to do plus a visit with the surgeon all on tuesday i thought i had gotten all the test done then they hit me with these

Hi Paula!
Congratulations on your surgery....same day as mine. Yes, I am so excited and a little nervous, but I feel that I am as healthy as I can be, and I have already lost almost 50 pounds pre-op, so that should help a little. I guess I won't really believe it's happening until they wheel me off to the operating room. It seems like a life-long dream. I have been making my list of what to take with me to the hosp. and also stocking up on things I will need after I get home.
I will be praying for you, and hope you do the same. Let me know how it all goes!

Topic: they just changed my 12-5 date..
Hope this doesnt happen to anyone else, did my liquid diet a couple days and one of them being Thanksgiving day and they just called to change it , they will let me know monday when it will be rescheduled and to eat this weekend.. ahh. well, at least it wasnt until 10 days on liquid diet and start over .. This happen to anyone else?

I have sampled many, many different protein shakes and have come to like Boost Glucose Control alot. It's not chalky like many of the others. Additionally, there is a product which you can get online called UNJURY...which is a protein powder that can be added to anything. It is flavorless.
