As I've posted before, surgery is scheduled for 12/10...but having a problem with cardiac clearance. Am supposed to start liquid diet tomorrow...Don't know whether to bother or not....

Let's all be excited for December 10th! I go in at 6:30 am. I will say Happy Birthday to you, and to my very best friend in Las Vegas. What a gift this new life is. I want to make it my re-birth day!

hi julia i got dec 3rd also just trying to get thru all the test i have preop test on tuesday doesnt sound like fun i think im beginning to hate needles but its worth it for a new life just think of all those new clothes we get to buy in a normal size im looking forward to it just alittle jitery but we can do it right good luck god speed with you just keep the faith

My date is also December 3. I'm taking this week off to get all ready. Feel nesting instincts as if I were having a baby or something.

As a matter of fact, this very thing happened to me. I was shooting for the week of Thanksgiving to have my surgery. They wanted me to be on a liquid diet two weeks prior to my surgery. I started on it then found out I wasn't going to be able to have it until 12/12. This is what I'm doing. I've continued on liquids for breakfast and lunch. At dinner, I have a sensible meal. For instance, last evening I went out with some people in my area on OH and had a dinner salad and a bowl of chili. As a result of this, I have now dropped 17 pounds since my consult with the surgeon on 10/30. I start my liquid diet again this coming Wednesday. I think I am pretty prepared for it based on what I've done these past two weeks.
Hang in there. It will be here before you know it.

Oh Allicca - I'm soooo sorry to hear this! You were so close - but . . . at least you know it still is within grasp. Hang in there . . .
