Liquid Diet means you are only consuming liquids.
You are limited to liquids food per your doctor. For example:
Broth
Sugar Free Pudding
Sugar Free Jello
Protein Shakes
Cream of Wheat
Sugar Free Yogurt
Sugar Free Popsicles

It's good to see you are in good spirits and hungry!
I am starving like crazy. I am doing a liquid diet it is only 2PM where I am and I was freakin' HUNGRY!!!! So I cheated a little and had some cashews 
. I had a protein shake for breakfast, tried to drink some water, Sugar Free pudding . I had some broth and added a little top ramen seasoning YUCK!! 
it was too salty so I through it away and had another sugar free pudding. Tonight I will probably have some cream of wheat of another protein shake.
I have to keep telling myself I can do it!
Well the chest x-ray and ekg are veru easy you just sit/lay there.
Let's see what day #2 brings!

Well congrats you're having your re-birthday on my birthday!! It's a great day my surgery is 5 days later on the 17th GL And we're going to get through this all

Well I'm wondering what everyone is meaning by the liquid diet....the reason is is because my surgeon is not having me do a liquid diet, he is just haveing me not eat after 5pm the night before surgery according to her head nurse it's the same effect. so when you guys say liquid diet what exactly are you talking about?

Hey Danyelle. Yes it is exciting! I started my pre-op diet today.I didn't do bad at all...its 4 pm now ans I am starving! I had my "meal" at lunch. So tonight is a shake and jello and maybe some cheese!!!
I have to attend a support meeting tonight...requirements fo the surgeon's office. Then tomorrow I have an ekg and chest xray and then I see my PCP on Saturday morn. after waiting for 8 months things are moving right along now.
So how is your journey coming....LB sis?????

im on my way in the morning for all these test hopefully they will not had any more but im still confused on this liquid thing i m not on a fast i got told i could eat up till sunday night but im not im just laying low on food just doing soups and a lot of green tea hot of course my girl friend had her surgery in july she had to do medi fast im told its all different from dr to dr will be thinking of all on dec 3 this is our day

i will be praying for you hope everthing goes smooth, my surgery is dec 10th and i am so nervous and anxious. As the time gets closer the more scared i get but i guess that is normal. God bless you, niecy
