I too was going to have the band until I started reading about VSG. Have you read anything about it? There are quite a few people who had the sleeve, then after a few years went back and had the VSG done. I have also read about people gaining weight after several years. Sry, I know that this does not really help.

Hello, I am new to the boards of looked on and off so this is my first post. I am Jamie by the way, and I am also on Dec 3rd I am haveing the sleeve. I am scared really I hate the thought of surgery but I just remind myself its gonna be worth it. I am cranky because I am hungry this liquid diet thing stinks! But again i know it will be worth it! I find it so hard to believe that its going to work but I have read and read these message boards and I feel its what I need to do so on monday morning at 10:45 in Bowling Green Oh I check in. I was looking to see if anyone else was on that day so its nice to meet you! Best wishes to you on Monday! What are you doing for your clear liquid? I am trying to think of what to get at the store. I'm reading in this forum that some people after surgery of several years, start gaining weight. I thought as long as you keep having the FILLS, your stomach would keep getting smaller and you loose weight. How is it possible to gain weight and still have FILLS? Terry in DeSoto
