Hi, I am still waiting for my surgery date, but mine said "no special diet" either. My main fear is the pain after surgery, I am so freaked out by that for some reason. I have seen peoples uTube videos and they look and sound just horrible. I hope they give me good pain meds, Im such a big baby! I also worry about how long it takes to be back up and back to work. I know everyone is different, but I wish I had someone to talk to about this stuff. Please let me know if anyone out there wants to keep in touch with me and we can compare our experiences with each other. I think that would be so nice.

well in my opion you should go ahead and get your consultation's done as long as you don't have to pay for your visit's or anything like that....I don't have your insurance but it did take 5 months from start to finish before they tried contacting my insurance for approval and it was approved right away too. Like with in 24 hours I was approved I have Paramount Advatage in Ohio. I wish you the best of luck in your journy to have WLS. Have a Happy Holiday and a great new year!!

Hi my name is Kara and im new here. Im a little confused on how to use this site. Im in the process of trying to get my lap band approved, i just started working on it friday. I was wondering if anyone else worked at dell and had aetna through dell. I dont work there but my husband does and i was wondering how hard it is to get it approved with their critria.

My surgery date is the 17th and I have my preop on the 13th. I am excited, nervous, and hyper all at the same time. Good luck Katie, Kathleen, and Kelly! (I feel like I should have a "K" name to post here!)
