Topic: Dec '07...it's Oct...We're 10 months out!!!!!!!
Hey Dec '07 sistas and bros...how are we all doin'???? Dang...this weight loss thing is REALLY SLOOOOOWING down...I mean really slowing down. My current #s...I'm down to 180 lbs which means only 50 lbs to goal...and thats a HUGE 50 lbs because no matter how little I eat(or how much) or how much I exercise I'm only losing 2-4 lbs a month.
Now...I don't mean to sound like a spoiled BIOTCH and I knew it wouldn't be easy...BUT I just wish the weight loss Gods would throw me a bone here to get me motivated again and back to being the perfect patient.
Yes...I am totally grateful for my loss up to this point...BUT...the big 5-0 Bday is exactly 6 months from today and to be honest I don't see being to goal by then. :( :(
Posittives: I'm wearing a medium top; I wore a size 12 jeans yesterday(but honestly still in a 14 in most jeans).
And how are you guys all doing???????????

see i knew i was bad at this RNY thing i've only lost 71 pounds since surgery, acutally 69 because i gained 2 back. i eat like theres no tomorrow and even though i work out 4x a week my entire journey has been that of the slowest looser! yeah my desire for foods came back too.
(going away to eat celery until i loose some weight!) Oh and i've been in a stall for 6 weeks and before that lost 2 pounds and then a stall for 3 weeks :(

I'm down 120 pounds and I'm wearing a size 16/18 and an XL top. That's wonderful as far as i'm concerned. My weight loss has slowed to almost nothing, which is frustrating but I'm still happy.

It sure sounds like your blood sugar... the same thing happens to me if I don't eat frequently... I carry peanut butter crackers with me wherever I go..... I used to avoid carbs like the plague, but I NEED them now.

Hi Becky and other Dec. people,
I can so relate to your post. The first months were so much easier- I dropped 120 pounds and didn't really struggle. Now I am struggling with the old demons. I am not gaining, but the weight loss has stopped. I know I'm eating more than I should. Starting here, starting now I will be committed again... hold me accountable!

Well all he did was some blood work and said it was my blood sugar dropping! I apparently need to eat more often!

So Cerena, what happened when you saw your surgeon??? Did they do a CT scan? Do you have a bleed or obstruction of some sort?
This is a very scary thing.

Hello everyone,
Well I have been having a problem lately with feeling lightheaded, dizzy, nausea, sweating and weakness. It comes on very fast and always when I am at work! I thought maybe it could be my blood sugar and so does my doctor until yesterday. I actually went out for about 3-4 mins where I dont remember anything, although I am a nurse and was at work and the doc there gave me oral glucose when I went down, my blood sugar was 107 just a minute after that so dont think its my sugar since I really didnt get much of the oral glucose in me before they took my blood sugar. So of course I got sent to the ER and they ran a bunch of test for my heart and blood pressure and that all checked out fine. So they told me to follow up with my surgeon which I am doing today but I have been talking to him for a month about this and all he tells me to do is eat more carbs in my diet! So I am coming to my fellow obesity help friends to see if any thing like this sounds familiar or has happened to any of you! PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE THIS OUT!!!!! My fear is it is going to happen while I am driving with my children or home alone with them and I wont beable to wake up next time! I am really scared!
