Good luck tomorrow! I'm trying to stay busy around the house tonight so I don't have too much time to be nervous...also to forget how hungry I am while everyone here is having dinner. We can compare notes next week!

Thanks so much. I can't let what happened to me with my band kill my spirits for wls. I gotta keep on keepin on! I didn't always feel like this. I felt helpless actually and very discouraged. I'm so grateful that I have another shot at this.

Hi Rachael--my surgery is tomorrow, too. I keep thinking I should be more nervous than I am. I am trying to stay busy getting the house/kids in order-that way I don't have so much time to worry! Good luck to you-I know we are doing the right thing.

My date is the 17th as well. I try not to think about the million and one thoughts that would cause me to be nervous about surgery. I think of all of the positives that will come from this. #1 Better Health!! WE will be just fine!!! I look forward to swapping tales with you as we lose. God's blessings to you on the Big Day!

Hi Angela I'm flying high with you. I'll be having a revision from band to RNY on December 17th as well. My surgery is scheduled for 3pm. So you'll be my little big sister! I'm so excited. I have yet a second chance to tackle this weight battle with surgery. God's blessings to us both and a speedy recovery. Loser's bench here we come!

I'm not a smoker, but my surgeon won't operate on smokers because of the increased rate of complications. When I heard the list of possible complications, I was pretty scared. I'm sure any surgeon would be happy to speak with your friend about the reasons to quit.

Best wishes for an uneventful surgery and lightening fast recovery. If it is at all encouraging to hear... I am 5 days post-op and feel nearly back to myself. I feel better every day.

WOW it as come so fast but tomorrow is my big day, i still don't know how to feel. I just going to say my prayers that everytihing goes fine.
