Do you feel the port

After surgery do you feel the port and band inside of you? Does the hurt go away if you do what you are suppose to?
Hi Nancy . . . I can feel my port . . . but I have to actually TRY to feel it with my fingers . . . other than that . . . I wouldn't even know it is there. I'm just over a month out, and I have no restrictions and have no pain (from the lapband . . . my hip and knee and back are another story lol). I had an easy time of the surgery . . . some people have more pain than I had. If you do what you are supposed to do, I would say the worst is over in a week. I was back at work in one week, but some others have said 2 or 3 weeks was better for them. Hope this helps.
Chris

Hi Tina,
What do you mean when it came out. Did you have the band removed? Did the port hurt?
I didn't -- and still don't -- feel the port, but that incision is by far the most sensitive. I can see the outline of the port when I look in the mirror, though. Kinda creepy
As far as feeling the bad, there was a very full, tight feeling under my chest (Is that where our pouch is?) for about the first 5 or 6 days after surgery, but that's gone now. I didn't feel "the band," per se.
I just went slow and did what they've told me and everything feels better day by day...
