Insurance Question

Merry Christmas everyone! Does anyone have Aetna insurance? If so what requirements do they require before surgery?

That's so funny. I just posted the same question! Well I pretty much have the same question as you. At this point I am currently enrolled in a manditory Educational Class that is 6 months long. We meet twice a month and per the instructor that is pretty much all that needs to be done other than the normal testing. I just want to know how long after the class will I be notified in regards to a schedule date for the operation. Have you already seen your primary doctor? All I know is that I went to see my doctor about 4 months ago and she immediately sent in the referal for the classes. Good Luck!

You might want to try the insurance forum....Are you in a program called healthy roads? If so, I would check the laws for CA, because I thought I saw somewhere where this program is not necessary....But, I might be wrong. The best response I can give you is this.... Get your benefit information from HR, and ask if WLS is covered, then contact the insurance company, and get everything in black and white pertaining to coverage.
