Having surgery 12/13
I have not heard that you age after surgery... I hope that is not true, I am only 23. A lady at my work had it done and she does look older, infact I think younger because she feels soooo much better. I do the same thing about talking myself out of it. My brother is not supportive, and my mom is having it 2 weeks after me. So when I talk to him, I am like what am I doing, then I talk to my mom and I get excited! I just want to be normal again. I don't go places because of my weight. I have not seen my BFF in almost 3 years because I dont want her to see how fat I am now.
Where are you having your surgery? I am in TX. Let me know, I know that we can do this and when Spring Break comes around we will be looking good and look back at this and laugh!!!
We are surgery buddies!!!! I am having gastric bypass. You?
I am 47 and live in Fl. I want to be able to wear shorts and cute tops without everyone staring at me like I am a beached whale.LOL
It's great your Mom is having the surgery so close to when you are. You can go through it together. What a journey we are about to take.
Hey Teri. All I wanted was to be able to wear shorts and a tank top. Sounds crazy but so true. Something so simple to those who take that for granted! Well now we will be able to do just that. Yes, it is coming. The best part shopping in department stores that I would have never even walked in and buying a size that my mind says is to small but it really fits on my body and looks great. I plan to wear shorts this summer for the first time in ......... years! Yeah.
Hi Maritza,
I know what you mean about department stores. I just home from the mall and my daughter was shopping at The Body Shop and all cute stores and I had to go to the womens plus size. I hope I will drop my weight in a reasonable amount of time. I will need to lose 92 pounds after the surgery. I am so looking forward to dressing nice.
