I'm reading in this forum that some people after surgery of several years, start gaining weight. I thought as long as you keep having the FILLS, your stomach would keep getting smaller and you loose weight. How is it possible to gain weight and still have FILLS? Terry in DeSoto

I too was going to have the band until I started reading about VSG. Have you read anything about it? There are quite a few people who had the sleeve, then after a few years went back and had the VSG done. I have also read about people gaining weight after several years. Sry, I know that this does not really help.

Hey. I had the Lap band. I invite you to read my story. I know that it is different for everyone but it was the best thing for me! I have friends that have had the Lap band as well as the Gastric Bypass. I am down to 165 lbs. My goal is 130 lbs and I am almost there. My surgery was April of this year. Everyone says that I don't need to lose anymore but I just want to get down to my goal and at that point I will exercise to maintain it. Before my surgery, I would lose maybe 20 lbs but then eventually gain back 25 lbs. There is no way I could have lost this amount on my own without my "tool". I believe the majority loses about 100 lbs and just knowing that if I gain a few I will never go back to that. Just keep reading and decide what is best for you. Good Luck.
