Surgery date 12/17/07

Finally have a surgery date after having to do a 6-month doctor regulated diet program supervised by a physician. Anyone else having their surgery on December 17th?

Glad to meet you Jennifer! I love meeting all these new people! I am getting lots of surgery sisters! Speaking of sisters...my sister lives in CT in Newtown. I love New England. I lived in MA for two years, one year each in Melrose and Malden. I miss everything about New England except the bad winters. So, are you getting excited? I can't believe it is two weeks from Monday! I teach, so needed to do this during my Christmas break. I had first tried for a summer surgery date, but my insurance company made me wait 6 months and try a doctor-directed diet program. I guess almost 30 years of dieting was not enough for them! Please write agin and keep in touch as we journey together into our new bodies. Maureen

Me, too!!! I'm a Dec 17th re-birthday as well!!!!

Wow! Our December 17th club is growing! This is great! It will be nice to share our experiences. Anybody have any idea what to take to the hospital with them? Two weeks from tomorrow! It is approaching fast, and yet the days seem to go slow in anticipation. I am just so thankful my insurance company finally gave the okay! Maureen
