Day 2 of liquid diet - down 2 lbs!
Hi Chris.
I wanted to ask you how you were doing with the liquid diet so far? I will begin my the week after next and am finding myself reverting to the "last supper" syndrome. Especially knowing that next week will be the last week that I ever have "real" food again so I feel like I need to enjoy each meal as much as I can. Did you ever experience any of that and if so, how did you work through it?
Also, can you give me some suggestions on which products are working for you and which are not?
Thanks for your help. Happy Thanksgiving.
Cathy
Hi Cathy . . . oh I did "last suppers" for almost a week . . . but while I was doing it, I tried to stay away from the excess carbs . . . I was at a crab and shrimp buffet at a casino one night . . . ate only protein . . .and 1 scoop of ice cream. Another day on the way home from work I stopped at my favorite Mexican restaurant . . . and was bad there. My last meal was Sunday morning . . . champagne brunch . . . (I LOVE CHAMPAGNE) . . . and after that, I started the protein drinks even half a day before I had to. I'm using Pro Complex (1 scoop instead of 2) . . .which I can chug down .. . don't think I'll do very well sipping it after the surgery. I've had some samples of Bio Complex (I think) that I liked better . . . and still have some Jay Robb's Whey protein samples. I'm just trying to get it in . . . and I'm forcing the water (which I also hate). I'm getting my 64 oz in . . .plus a couple cups of decaf tea - sometimes I use the crystal light half strength so it isn't so sweet. I was down another lb this morning . . . so I guess it's working. I'm not starving . . . but I'm hungry. Tomorrow will be the big test since I have to smell my bird cooking all day . . . BUT . . . this is my present to myself . . . and I can do this too! Good Luck - and have a GREAT Thanksgiving!
Chris
