Topic: Wednesday Weekly Weigh-In!
Happy Hump Day Gang!!!
So how are you doing? Are you still having some days of struggles? I think we all do, we are human. Are you fighting the fight though and getting back on the wagon and forgiving yourself if you do make a "slip up". Remember its not about bad food, no no foods vs. good foods. I mean we wanna eat healthy but if u want a cookie and can handle eating one.. eat it, make it part of your calories and move on.. don't get stuck punishing yourself.
Question of the week: What are your 4th of July plans????? Are you planning good eats? Be strong.. I know you will feel better if you focus on family and activities rather than the indulgent foods that are available.. make good choices. Believe in yourselves b/c u are worth it!
I am working on the 4th. I may go see some fireworks nearby on the 3rd. Husband will be at the lake with his family (lucky dog!) :-)
Hw: 328
Sw: 280
Cw: 135.5
Accpetable range: 130-133.. Got some more work to do
Have a good week everyone!

Topic: RE: For those having a hard time remembering to take your vitamins!
All iron can be "binding" to the gut. Are you taking a stool softener? I take plain colace (ducosate sodium) daily with my iron. Some swear by miralax. Gotta get that iron in, once that ferritin is low it is hard to get it back up as it is your storages or holding places for your iron. You may end up on IV infusions of iron probably for life. You do not want that... figure out a way to keep taking that Rx from your surgeon and now manage the side effect with something to help the constipation. Good luck to u!

I put mine in a sandwich baggie in the morning and that way all that I need for the day are there and then I can take it with me when I go somewhere. My problem is that no matter what I've taken so far I can't seem to find a way to combat the constipation with the iron supplements so I end up taking them for a few days, needing to stop for a few days, taking them for a few days when I get fixed, and starting all over again. My ferritin was 13 when I had it drawn a couple of weeks ago, so not good! Is there a certain type of iron that will cause less constipation problems? I'm on Niferex 150mg prescription from my surgeon.

Topic: RE: saggy skin......a solution??
Hi Lacy -
Really the only answer is plastic surgery I am afraid after toning the muscles - I highly recommend lounges and eventually lounges with weights. After that well what is left is the skin that will be. Running has also done wonders for my legs too. There are "wraps" in spas but they are temporary and only pull fluid out for a short while but eventually you will hydrate back up. You might wanna go over the plastic surgery board and just lurk around, great gals there...

Topic: saggy skin......a solution??
I have been so tempted to "tape" up my legs. They look really good when I hold the skin up. I don't have a lot of skin but just enough to bother me. What tape would be good? Duct tape would never come off. Do they make such a thing?
