Dawn, great idea.. I will join your challenge once I get back to the USA since I am in Colombia visiting family until the 21st.
Small goals are the best, my first goal will be to walk for at least 30 min 4 days a week and in the mean time loose all the weigh I will probably gain while on vacation, which I sure hope is not much

Topic: Way to GO DAWN!!
Just had to start a separate thread to tell Dawn how GOOD ... no GREAT she is doing!!! She is being accountable and I love that she is posting every single day, even if her choices weren't 100% (most of the time they are!) she is posting. Look at that level of accountability all of you! I need to follow in her footsteps!!! Thanks for inspiring me Dawn!!!
I am going to start logging my intake starting tomorrow. I am not doing that and it has been forever since I have. I am doing mostly shakes, salads and protein this week to decarb. Occasional latte :-)

Topic: Today I ate.......... and I did not move Sunday
This is going to be short. I didn't really write down what i ate today.
But now that i started typing- I felt compelled to go back and added it all up....
Sunday- MY day of Rest...I did not move.
Breakfast: Ham and Eggs, 1 biscuit
Lunch: 2oz of cheddar cheese and a handful of HIGH fiber multigrain crackers
Dinner: Whataburger Jr. and handful of fries...I know I know.
Damage done: 1382 Calories
I do really crappy on the weekends. no structure, not THAT bad on the calories....it is what made up the calories that is crappy. I feel good- just like i have come out of confession. And frankly if it wasnt for this it would have been worse i am sure. I have my lunch and my gym bag packed- ready for a new week!

Topic: Yesterday I Ate.....and I moved (Saturday)
OK..this is late.....but I am committed. Not sure if I told you, woke up and went to the gym at 7am yesterday- I was up, at em and done before I even woke up.
Breakfast: 2 eggs/1oz of chopped ham
Lunch: 1/2 peanut butter sandwich
Went to a stupid movie, actually movie was good, but as hard as i tried i had a cup of that freaking movie popcorn...but i counted it.
Dinner: (Emily's birthday)
6oz Ribeye
Squash
1/2 baked potato- didn't eat the whole 1/2
I am sort of put off...i ordered a 12oz steak- my friend Jo and i share meals....she is a teeny tiny thing- in every way she is 4'10 and weighs just about 100# and she is a full grown adult- i digress- BUT the steak that they served me at the SALTGRASS was probably 50% fat. I am not a complainer- and i know as well as the next guy that a little fat makes a steak tastier- but by the time i cut my 12oz steak in half and cut off the fat- i probably had 2-3oz of edible steak for each of us..... for the first time ever- i sent that crap back...it just grossed me out. The second steak was delicious- but why would they even serve such a thing?
By my count my count should be:
Calories: 1162 (approx, probably more)
Fat 67g
Carbs 60g
Protein 69g
I have probably underestimated a bit.....but close i hope.. plus i did 45 minutes of cardio

Oh, I always pack my lunch in. I take a bag for the week, actually. It's become the joke at work, that if there is a power outage, earthquake or other natural disaster to raid the fridge for Heather's bag, and then run for her office to get in her credenza (where I keep my Wheat Thins, Crystal Light, and mini bags of Popcorn, and canned fruits and soups.
Mainly my goal is to work on moving more, but it's getting the baby to let me do it! =) She can be unhelpful when she wants to sleep, but doesn't want to do it in her sling or stroller.

For the love of God! My missteps are soooo not your fault! I just thought that it was funny( the saying, that is)- kind of like when your momma cusses you never expect it - so it seems amusing! The fair is going to be fun for you guys steven Curtis chapman! This is life, we have our ups and downs- we just have to get up brush ourselves off and continue forward! Have fun! Talk to ya later

Ya know, I do the same thing. I see someone else say they slipped up and I think, well I can too!
i thought about that after I posted it. Sorry about that. I wanted to be honest but at the same time it almost provides a "out" or a "invitation" or excuse? to graze on crap foods for others, at least it has that affect on me! I am sorry about that.... DO FORGIVE ME!
I am going to the state fair on Thursday to see Steven Curtis Chapman with my husband, I love fairs but all the food are way too much temptation for me.
My plan of action this week.... keep on the decarb route other than a couple occasional SF lattes b/c we are staying at my inlaw's lake cottage for the week and there is my fav coffee shop there. I am not even going to deprive myself, this will be my treat. I get it with soy and SF syrup. Not bad at all, like 140 calories for a large iced one.
Ok, then I am going to eat as much MEAT as I can at the fair.. pork chop on a stick anyone. I will allow myself that and MAYBE some popcorn at the end of the night in a very CONTROLLED portion (not kettle corn.. regular popcorn) if I am good as a reward BUT nothing else.. gonna try really hard, I am there ALL day.
I may even bring a protien bar with me for something sweet.. since I know I will be tempted.
Keep up the good work, I am glad you are forgiving yourself and moving on, trulyt hat IS what it is all about.. if we are good 90 percent and bad 10% (which I don't recommend but come on it is reality) then we are doing well I think.

Good morning and happy weekend- I am trying this from my iPhone so we will see how it goes. I did not have a good compliant day- I kept thinking of Melissa saying "kettle corn, the end" and laughing. Usually when I do so crappy I don't write it down and thus begins a spiral- this generally happens on Friday, Saturday & Sunday- well that is half the week if you look at it. So as crappy as I did I calculated- I will Not get into the details-
Calories 1460
Fat 71 g (40%)
Carbs 161g (40%)
Protein 76g (20%)
Ok these are the right % but Carbs should be 20% & Protein should be 40%! My " exercise" if you would care to call it that is I moppped the tile in my house ( swept & vaccuumed it first) almost my entire 2000 sq feet is tile -and I mopped it on my hands and knees! I H A T E mopping! Then I washed my car the old fashioned way ! Felt like a work out-

Heather, goals don't have to be lofty- look at mine nine pounds- but I have to commit to something. So in the midst of your nuttiness of getting into a new work routine- just add a few days of exercise or commit to packing your lunch- if you talk to us once a week maybe we can talk you down so work dosent overwhelm you. You are never going to believe who went to the gym at 7 am this morning ( Saturday) yes it was me! Shocking but true. I just keep thinking 5 weeks is not that long- and perhaps good habits can be formed. to you and THANKS for helping me out- I am glad you are here!

Okay, trying to figure what I can probably realistically commit to, since I'll be going back to work 8/17, and have a whole CRAZY new ass schedule starting between us having 1 car, getting both of us back and forth to work, as well as Caitlin over to my cousin's to be babysat.
I'll go with I'd like to lose 6 lbs, to hit 175. (Adding the disclaimer that I still haven't restarted my monthly visits from Aunt Flo.. so either the hormones are going to kick in, or I'm pregnant again).
I will work on making an effort to walk at least 1-2 miles daily, with the baby, four times a week.
I will get in my daily protien requirement (haven't done that in ages)
I will NOT forget to take my nighttime dose of vitamins (especially my Calcium)
