I had my surgery on the 28th of Sept. I am not sure how it should be going. I do get discuraged at times. My biggest problem is trying to eat and drink enough. Water does not taste the same. i used to drink a lot of water..
I am still sore. I cannot takethe pain med. I was given. have been off liquid Tylenol for twos days. I feel sore at times. The incessions are starting to itch and pull.
I have lost 15.6 pounds in less then two weeks. Is that good?

Hi Gang!
Sorry been absent a while... having some crazy weeks lately with work extras and speaking at groups etc. Staying busy as always...
How are you all doing?
I am doing ok, weight wise could be better but could be worse. I am not complaining. 140 naked. I want to be at my lowest but again won't complain. I restarted therapy to help me. I also took the MMPI (that test to see if I have any psych issues... ugh) I have generalized anxiety and some mild reoccuring depression at times. Makes sense honestly. I am currently being treated and things being tweaked.
I also got started on topomax, its a drug to help me resolve carbohydrate cravings and differentiate between head and real hunger. It does work! I like it. I just got increased on the dose on that one from 25 to 50mg so we will how that goes.
Nothing else really new to report otherwise. I am leaving to go to boston to visit another RNY friend on the 19th of october for a week then to KC to spend some time with my family (couple days). I will be in salem, mass some before halloween, FUN! Looking forward to it!

Sorry you had a bummer week, maybe you will be able to lose during vacation. And flop the flip. The flu and the 5 day pouch test helped me get back on track but the grazing is still a problem. At least I got myself away from the scariest part of what I regained and nw it feels a lot more 'do-able'.

Marsha, good for you giving WW a try with your family. Sounds like a good support system!
When i do the pumpkin pie I use the Libby's can recipe except I make it with nonfat canned milk, egg beaters instead of eggs and splenda instead of the sugar. Doesn't have as high of volume as a sugar pie but you still get that wonderful holiday taste. I don't eat the crust because the fats in it make me dump. And I'm not gonna make a pie with a weirdo crust just so I can eat crust...yuck. Then I can take those extra saved calories and pile the sugar free whipped topping on just like I used to do with regular cool whip back in the day. Gives me the same satisfaction plus no guilt. It's a win/win!

You aren't kidding about the apple dishes. I have trouble even staying legal around Melissa's legal apple crisp. What I did this year was to take the fresh apples (at great prices!) and make freezer pies. So far I have 4 pretty pies in the freezer and then next week I'll add some sugar free pumpkin pies out there too and a few apple crisps. I read on the internet about a lady who made 12 pies in autumn and froze them so they'd have one pie a month. That seems like a very reasonable distribution of calories don't you think? You get your treat, enjoy it but know it is just once a month.

I have had 2 not so good days and trying to get back on track again..I realized making apple pie and apple crisp are not a good thing to do:(
