Hey, Gigi... What did you decide to do???? You've got a couple of things going on here and I really hope that you get some relief soon. I saw your pics... WOW now that's WLS success. I was in at least the 63 BMI range (and avoided the scale before that #) so I know that you've really changed your life. Isn't it great to sit on ANY chair???? YES!!!!
Hugs... that fit around your tiny waist...

Topic: Good Eats... and not so good eats...
OK... not so good eats are more interesting, Right?
A diner's fried sampler would go in that category. Yeah, I shared some of it, but I ate some of it.
No real upset, but it threw my Fat % off the chart... almost 1/2 nutrition from fats... not so good.
The sampler was a "chaser" to that day's meals. Honestly, we stopped on the way home and shared a small NF soft serve ice cream too. Now that I had my fill of fried food for a while, here's Wednesday's Eats...
Chicken and protein pasta covered in spaghetti sauce w/ grated cheese.... and 8 oz of watermelon for "Breakfast" at 5:30 AM (???)
Grabbed an Atkins Peanut Butter Crisp for a snack... which adds sat. fat and trans fats and messes up my protein count for the day...
There were the pancakes w/ SF syrup that I almost ate for lunch, but DS got those! I had 1 bite.. 30 calories.. and moved on to the odd combo of Babybel light, oat bran pretzels, mashed potatoes, and watermelon (again).
So what could be more interesting than to do it again... Well, I changed it up by eating skirt steak, oat bran pretzels, mashed potatoes, and yes... the "W" again.
Snacks... hummmm.... There was a mini popcorn, 2 Fudgsicles, a pickle, 1 c of farina, a LS oatmeal w/ extra sweeteners, and a Nature Valley Almond nut crunch bar (200 calories, but full of nutrients... my "peanut brittle")
The totals... including the ICBIN... Butter... were about 1963, which wasn't such a good year...
I don't care that my carbs were 279g or that my fats were 59g because my pie chart was in balance. Now the protein range that I'm supposed to follow is 75 - 80g Soooo 90 was up there a bit. I'll have to be careful for the rest of the week, if my average is going to drop that # into the mid-80s.
I'm still bouncing around with my weight and still weighing my food with the digital scale. If your eating what I'm eating, you might see a "gain"... At some point, I will have to back-off because I WILL gain too... it's just a matter of time.
Now... with all that said... these are the ranges that I BELIEVE that I was supposed to eat as a Dec. 06 post-op...
1000-1100 calories
100-120 carbs (120 is brain friendly)
25-50g total fat (max 10 saturated fat... skip the trans fats)
and yes, the much debated... 50-70g protein range that's been Dr. / Nut. recommended
How's your EATS???? Honestly, Did You Eat Bacon Last Week??? I DID...
Am I still allowed to play with you guys???
XOXOXO

Topic: RE: Its WEDNESDAY Weigh In Time AGAIN!!!!
My weight has been so up and down for the last few months. I was done to 140. I know they say when you plateau you will actually gain back about 10lbs. Well I am NOT ok with that. I got up to 150.
I am now down to 142 and hoping to at least get down to 140. I swear if I ever get into the 130's I am just going to have to dance!!

Welcome! So you're pretty close to goal.... very exciting
Diana just posted this weeks Weigh-in so you might want to reply on today's post so that the others get to know you. Although we are struggling a bit with different issues, everyone is very supportive here...

You are doing great.......2 lbs is better than nothing and it's the start to a better way of eating.
I think my scale is stuck on 176 lbs--it does not move up or down and that makes me very happy.

Have a great week and keep doing a great job and you will be at goal soon!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Going on the 2 LB Loss!!!
Hope that you feel better. I've been under the weather too! Blah!
Here are some of my "go to" foods that seem to be pretty good choices (so far)...
Quaker LS Maple & Brown Sugar oatmeal w/ 2 pack of sweetener
Snyder's pretzel sticks (pumpernickel, oat, or bran) and 1 oz 2% cheese
watermelon or red grapes
NF yogurt and blueberries
Hey, I was "bad" this week... and dragging my feet about replying. I'm up 2 Lbs (Real or TOM?)
2 words... Fried Foods

Topic: RE: The Wagon Plan
Interesting.... Glad that you mentioned your experience with the wagon plan. It's hard to stick to a program once your bowels become irregular. I tend to stay away from breads, but it's more because I am hooked on whole grain pretzels. I don't worry about the number of carbs, but make most of them complex carbs. I'm "hungry" when I don't drink at least 64 oz of water. A non-fat yogurt or piece of 2% cheese (1 light Babybel) helps me get to the next meal.
How do you handle your hunger? Any "go to" foods that work for you?

I'm not sure what happened to my sex drive, but it has lessened. Glad to hear that the bleeding issue has gotten better for you. I haven't heard of other members having this problems and I've been fairly regular.
The pain that you mentioned should be addressed with your Gynecologist. If your boyfriend went with you to the appointment, he'd probably leave with a better idea of what you are going through physically and perhaps emotionally.
Pretty sad that you have to explain your faithfulness. He obviously sees you as desirable and can't figure-out if you're just not interested in him or might be interested in seeing other guys. He might be trying to persuade you into having sex to "prove" your interested in him, but it seems to be backfiring! You can't get someone in bed by making them feel bad about themselves...
at least not very often.
How are you feeling about him? In love? Hurt? Bored? Smothered?
You're feelings are very, very important and should take priority. Once you decide what your feelings are, you should be able to discuss them with your boyfriend openly.

It may be a bit uncomfortable, but perhaps you should take your bf to the dr with you. It would help it if the dr could explain why this happens and it is not something you are doing on purpose. Perhaps he could learn to be more supportive and understanding if it came from someone with a medical background.
