Still staying same, not dropping, but Aunt Flo just left.  So, getting over the week of horrid sweet cravings, and water retention.

Whoa, very busy week and I totally forgot to weigh on Wed. but on Thursday I was up to 147.  Sigh....overactive fork and TOM.  Can't wait for it to be done already and start working the gain away.  Blech!  On the bright side, I just had 3 days off and it was heavenly!  (although it went by too fast!)

Hope everybody had a good weekend.  One of the many things I've been doing lately is playing farmgirl with my little garden and yard and finally harvesting some great stuff.  Have been dehydratiing zucchini in big strips with the goal of making a lot of zuch. lasagne this winter.  Nummy!  Also made a lot of zuch. chips, dried fruits and other veggies.  Also of course, have made a lot of sugar free jams.

It's been a fun summer overall but I'm ready for it to be done and starting to look forward to the holidays.  Gonna start decorating for autumn on Sept. 1st.  Woohoo!

Molly

Ok Molls... gonna pick your brain.

You sent me some WONDERFUL SF apple butter once and those Polomar SF sauces...

Do you have recipes to make these items????? They are my favs by far and can't be found around here anywhere, I have looked! Once in a while I can get apple butter (sf) at a farmers market but even those are hard to come by it seems.

I love dried apple chips in the summer, there is a lady here that makes them using splenda and cinnamon - YUMO

OOPS meant to say FALL, not summer LOL

Seriously, I think the recipe for apple butter is just apples and apple juice in a crock pot.  You cook and stir all day long.  However, the Polaner sauces...don't know if that could be made as yummy.  I'd be happy to send you more.  I've tried another brand of sf blueberry syrup and it doesn't even come close.

Got a whole slew of apples (well, ok...2 big bags) today to make homemade apple pie filling. I may even be brave and attempt to can it.  !!!  heehee  The whole Cult of MaryJane's Farm has grabbed hold of me baaaaaad. ( http://www.maryjanesfarm.com/farmgirl-connection/ ) LOL  Who knows, I may just try to make some apple butter while I'm at it.  Altho...I have a whole bunch of uneaten sf pumpkin butter in my freezer still so maybe I'd better not.

Speaking of the wonderous P word....it is almost FALL!!!!!   Can you stand it????

Yum, will have to try my hand at apple butter then!!!! Might be fun.

As for the syrups they are darn delicious and I keep looking for them near here.  I am going to look in KC next time I go and if I cannot find them, I may take you up on your offer and do some sort of trade :-) with ya.

Yum on the apples! Fall is just too fabulous all the way around... from the smell in the air and the crispness it brings, to the leaves changing colors, the smells of autum.. the FOODS (sigh) I love it all!! So beautiful!!!!!
