Just For My Information
All--Sorry that I have not been posting for MONTHS but I have been bit by Facebook bug....I have been able to regularly talk with friends/acquaintances from gradeschool, highschool, college and some former co workers.....it really is fun/funny. Anyway i need advice. Can any of you give me an idea of how many calories you are taking in currently- and how many of that is carbs/fat/protein. I have been working out like a B**** and not really counting my calories cuz i dont know where i should be....BUT i have not lost ANY weight none at all. not an ounce and this is since September! I still have 30# to go and i am beginning to get frustrated. My dr says i can still eat 800 calories and lose weight- the nutritionist says 1200 AT THE MINIMUM....and a good portion should be CARBS......i weigh 190# (which is 9# more than last year at this time) and i need to lose more......i would appreciate any advice you can give.
hope you are all doing well.....

My advice....write down everything you are eating/drinking now. Do this for a week or two.
See where you are landing and then tweak it.
I have found that there was a time (right around thatsept mark for me too) that I was taking in 2000 calories. I hadn't realized I was doing that.
My exercise seriously lacks...my problem. So I have to tweak things elsewhere and that means food.
I cut back to 1400 and lost a few pounds.
I don't count carbs or fats. But I do get in 90+ g protein a day and try to eat a lot of beans and veggies right now. Avoiding the PB cause that is my downfall. I could eat PB right out of the jar. LOL
If you are working out seriously 800 cals is not enough. He is a surgeon not a nutritionist. Try the 1200 cals ans see. I found 1200 still left me feeling deprived and I didn't like that feeling but 1400 is comfortable for me and works.
I hope I helped a little. Some one else around here may be able to offer more.

Hi There
I'm not sure, but seems like you might be in starvation mode. 800 cal doesn't sound like much to live on if you ask me. IMO I think you need to go with your nut and not the Dr.
I really don't count my calories but I know I definately get more than 800 cal. (probably too much) LOL I also want to loose 30 more # and have been at a stand still since Nov.
Hang in there and Good luck with everything
