How is everybody?

I think we have all reached that stage where we are living life and don't get the chance to get on and post much these days.

But we are probably also at the stage that is most important to be accountable and supportive to each other.

I know it gets harder for me as time goes by.  Harder to not eat/over-eat things I know I should avoid.  Harder to stay out of the cookie jar.  Harder to stay on that exercise routine.  Etc, etc.

I started writing down my calories again...just calories.  I know I get plenty of protien, but I also know my calories were probably near 2000 or higher (like I didn't know I had bounced around the same 5 pounds now, up, down, up, down).  Trying to stay at 1400 and see what will happen.
Still have serious problems with night time munching.  Do good all day but by the time 6 pm rolls around and I have dinner, after that I want nothing more than to open the fridge and grab a bucket and shovel.  I am getting the majority of my calories in after 5.  And, I am afraid if I eat more during the day to aleviate the evening munch monster that that will mean nothing more than even more calories by the end of the day.

We keep trudging on...

Hi Elaine
Yea I am like you too,  I munch alot through the day and it drives me crazy.  Seems like the more I try not to the more I do it.  and the excersing is totally shot to heck here lately but like you said we still have to trudge on.

Good luck getting back on track

When I was early out I kept saying that I am not buying food I can't eat.  Well now that my sister's 2 kids are here permanently I keep buying them easy things...like chips and cookies, popcorn.  Why oh why?  Now the munchies are even more difficult.  ANd I started a habit that is hard to break for them!

Night time is my worst time too Elaine!  Always has been and always will be I am afraid.  I do great all day then wanna munch at night.  Lately I haven't been too munchie at night but really been going back to basics and just trying to stay busy reading, getting online.  I love some SF jello with some heavy whipping cream (I know lots of fat cals but fat satisfies me) and I use a tsp on each cup and eat two cups.  It works for me.  Better than eating a million other things to satisfy me.  That = about 60 cals.  Not bad at all.

Hang in there.  Good to see you posting and yes, life does get hectic doesn't it.  I am around and lurk and noticed nobody has been posting, but either have I (shame on me!)

Hugs and talk to you soon!
Hugs, Melissa

I know...I kept peaking in here to see if anybody was positng...and when I noticed no movement in a while I just couldn't stay out any more!

There are so many opinions on night eating...some say spread you cals. out thru the day others say it doesn't matter when you get them in as long as the daily calorie totals are in line...I taking the daily total approach LOL.  As long as my total at the end of the day is good then we'll see what happens.  Just writing cals on a ticky and keeping it on my desk and then on my kitchen counter so I can meassure and write down my #'s as I go.

Doing good, getting fat.

The intense hunger has finally died down, and I'm back to having to remind myself to eat for me and the baby (instead of just me).  But I get the really, really LATE night munchies, like 2AM wake up call from Miss Caitlin that it's snack time.  Been trying to pacify her with salad and shredded cheese, or shaved turkey on it, instead of something heavier.

DH isn't so DH.. he gave me a cold, and while I love him.. I'm not liking him much at the moment.  With that said, going to drag in and make dinner, so I can go curl up and work on the baby's quilt.  Cross stitch hell... but it's going to be so cute when finished.

I use to luv crostitch...then got into crochet.  I need to finish the balnket I started before summer rolls around and it is too hot.  Maybe that'll keep  my mind and hands busy!

I've crocheted about 7 baby blankets in the past 4 years.  So, figured for our little one, I'd do something different.  I'll probably crochet her some sun bonnets, booties and dresses, but don't think I'm making a blanket.
