Did we survive?
Wow, you have done great conquering the PB demon....you rock! I definitely understand about not giving that to kids, too much money plus they can definitely benefit from the healthy fats in the real thing. BTW, don't tell my 14 yr. old I said that...I'm always getting onto him about eating too much pb. When he makes a sandwich, he spreads pb on both pieces of bread and then pours on honey, mixes it into each side and then slaps it together. Must be about a two-thousand calorie sandwich!!!!
I think I conquered that demon by over feeding it , now it no longer wants what I gave so much of, LOL!
Isn't it funny, when I see my 4 YO (who is small for his age) eating PB by the spoonful, I know he needs the fats and calories but I also start adding up the #'s in my head. When my 17 YO makes a sandwhich with 2 slices of cheese, ranch dressing and lots o meat...I start adding it up. they do not have weight-problems in the least and goodness knows I am so jealous that they have those young metabolisms!

I'm opposite of everyone right now, so it's a bit weird. All I do is eat. Put on about 13lbs so far for the pregnancy, and I'm good with that. Hubby rubs the belly and says "big belly!" Which just makes me laugh, cause at 5 months.. he's right. I'm definitely showing.
And I have a preview of what is to come with the baby, I realized tonight. Because all I do is: eat, sleep and pee!
With that said, I've been in the sweets. But, I tried to keep the batches small, and let the spouse eat most of them! Gone lactose intolerant AGAIN , towards straight milk. I can stomach yogurts & cheese, or milk for pudding. But by itself, it's not a pretty picture. Wish me luck, because in a few weeks here, I have to do the glucose tolerance test for gestational diabetes.
And hoping on Tuesday, the 6th, to find out if we're having a boy or girl. Hubby still refuses to pick a name until he finds out the sex, and I've now added that in to the already funky dream where you misplace the baby. But now in the dream they keep asking me what the baby's name is, and I'm like, "WE HAVEN"T NAMED IT YET!!"
Now, I have to go to bed. I just brought my husband out the other half of the grilled pastrami & tomato sandwich on whole wheat sourdough I was craving and made.
Happy New Year, everyone!
