does anyone else feel like they never had WLS?
Oos...brain spasm again...it was Marty Feldman not Marty Wilder. Sheesh.
Remember Madeline Kahn singing 'Ah sweet mystery of life at last I've found you!...' when the monster was working his, ah, 'technique'. LOL
Good job avoiding the DQ cone...woot woot!!! Wow, a 20-pack box of sf fudgesicles!. ANOTHER good thing we don't have here in the backwoods of Spokane. I guess there's something to be said for living in a very small city. Our 12 packs give me enough trouble (and gas!). I was digging around in my freezer and found some Decadent Double Chocolate Bran Muffins that I'd baked and stashed so my mouth was happy, happy yesterday. (And this morning!)
Bought a Splenda mini-mag at the store the other day and tried a couple of recipes so far...yum! The pumpkin-raisin cookies might be a problem. I've eaten four of them already. They are going in the freezer today!
The pumpkin cheesecake is all cracked on the top, prolly overbaked. I'll put the topping on it and take it along to my SIL's dinner tonight.
mmmm...the coffee is brewing!

Have you checked-out the Splenda website??? Bet that they have a great selection!
I used to remove cheesecake from the oven and invert a large pot over it for the cool-down.It seemed to eliminate the cracks. Let me know if you've tried this technique or something similar and what happened...
Freezer = Safety Net! We sure LOVE our Treats...
Oh Sistah...high five on the loving treats! LOL!!!
I was so busy when that cheesecake was baking that it was cracked by the time the timer rang and I worried it'd be dry. But it wasn't! I figure that must be why the recipe included a sour cream topping....to hide the cracks. Didn't stop me from adding some sf syrups for 'fun' tho....I tried a piece with sf Cinnabliss and also some sf caramel. Yummy! Next up....sf chocolate.
Looooove the Splenda website recipes! But sometimes you just want a cookbook in your hand, you know?
Better go get my day's food logged and see how I did.
At nearly 2 years out it seems we are all going through something similar. It takes everything I have to resist the cookies my office mate made this morning becasue they are practically screaming my name. And, then I get frustrated that she even made the darn things to begin with. Doesn't she know what it does to me?! Well, of course not. Trying to explain it to someone "normal" seems almost impossible.
OMGoodness YES I FEEL THE SAME WAY I CAN EAT, EAT, EAT!! ONCE MY FOOD SETTLES A LITTLE BIT I WANT TO EAT AGAIN TO KEEP MY STOMACHE FULL AT ALL TIMES JUST LIKE BEFORE SURGERY.
ALSO LIKE MELISSA SAID I TOO CONSTANTLY THINK ABOUT FOOD, LOOK AT THE CLOCK AND SAY, "MAN ISN'T IT TIME TO EAT YET"?
I TELL YA IT JUST DRIVES ME CRAZY
MINI ME
GO COLTS!!!!
What Melissa posted about her food capacity is nearly the same for me. I think friends who see me eat away from home think I've never had surgery either because I'm usually downing a massive plate of salad. Maybe next time we get together I should order fish or chicken for them to get a truer picture of my pouch capacity.
Sorry, rambling again. Hang in there when you feel hungry all the time. You must still be making good food choices since you are doing so well with your maintenance. It is going to be a lifelong process for those of us who choose to keep working at being successful and I'm happy to be sharing that journey with you and our little 12/06 family here.
Hugs!
Molly
