Accountability Wednesday!

So at the end of yesterday I only managed to get in 20 minutes on the elliptical!  It was like a torture device last night and I could barely make it to 20 minutes.  Sometimes I wish those computer timer thingies were put somewhere I could not see it and then just give me a bell when I have reach my distance or time!  Looking at the timer every minute drives me nuts!

So the plan for today...

B- shake (done)
S- 2 cups coffee with s/f creamer (done)
L- Last of my chili
S- PB protein balls
D- scrambled eggs again w/salsa
S- yogurt with granola
some hot tea in the evening

I will do my 36 min on the elliptical!!!!!!!!

As you can see I eat a pretty boring menu.  For the most part, if I have too many options then I EAT too many options.  If I keep it simple I eat simple (oh the mind games I play with myself!).

Keeping it simple is the key many times for many of us, nothing wrong with that!  Keep up the good work, you are doing terrific!!!  Some days are easier with exercise than others.  Some days I can run 3 miles like nothing other days its torture to finish one, not sure why that is.  Throw a towel over that minute monitor, that is what I do.  Get some good music and just go to town, I simply love my ipod, I couldn't work out without it.

Your plan looks good today Elaine! Great job!

So far today..

Starbucks regular coffee with 1 scoop of arctic frap protein powder and SF syrup

2 eggs, 3 turkey sausage links.

lunch will be a salad I am guessing.

protein shake RTD for a snack

Dinner, I am gonna cook!  Meat and brussel sprouts or squash and zuchhini.

if I need a snack later it will be SF jello.

I am going to run on the treadmill later.  It is raining here and not wanting to commute to the gym in the pouring rain 30 mins each way today.  I will also do floor exercises.

Thanks for the accountability!
Hugs, Melissa

LOL I have tried covering that timer and I still peak at it!

I usually just use the elliptical after work while my 4 YO is playing or taking a bath or watching a movie.  It is in my living room so I have full view of the LR and kitchen and him!  Ipod is impossible because he needs supervision, so, I settle for torturing myself! LOL

The tootsie pop could have been worse (could have had 3 of those suckers!)  I have been known to test myself a time or two.  I mildly dump but it takes quite a bit for that to happen.  so, I know I can have 3 pieces of Dove chocolate and do okay...after that I want to crash.  So if I buy it then I stretch it out all day....so I just have to not buy it!  My T.O.M. will tell me otherwize and I have picked one up then...We are human.

I am finding that using The Beck Diet solution idea of planning what I am eating the night before and then checking it off as I go through the day very easy.  I was resistant when I first read that chapter and did not do it.  6 weeks of a stall and really wanting to "get there"  made me decide to try it a few days ago.  Got myself a little notebook that fits in my purse (cause logging in to fitday or sparkpeople several times a day gets on my nerves), write out my plan and then Do IT.  When we decdided to do the accountability thread I thought I might as well post it for the WORLD to see as well. Now I am more compelled to follow the plan cause everyone knows what I SHOULD be eating!

Told you all earlier...I soooo play mind games with myself LOL!

Good Idea... Notebook for purse!!!   Must Buy!

I am using scrap notes and they are driving me nuts...

Logging in throughout the day is really compulsive and frustrating, but it does keep me honest.

The notebook sounds like a good middle ground for balancing journaling.

I can't get my head around "pre-planning"... and still can't SIT for most meals.    I stand, which is supposed to be a negative in the World According to Beck!   Any pointers???

In "Beck" world...she would have to arrest me I think...I don't even own a dining room table!  But, I do have my elliptical in place of where the DR table should be (I should get points for that right?)  I eat either standing in the kitchen but usually in the Lr watching the TV.

The little notebook for my purse is actually a little 3X5 spiral of index cards...that way the notebook paper doesn't fall apart, fold, get, bent or get destroyed being crried around in my luggage LOL.

Points Duly Noted!!!

What's the deal with "Sitting" anyway?  Better Question: Why can't I (we) do it?

Thanks for the spiral info!!  Where are you going so often that you have luggage ready?
Really Nosy Person here....

My travels only take me as far as Walmart. LOL  But with a 4 YO I usually keep handy, wipes (for the face and hands), a snack of some sort (for me and him), water bottle, oh and the kitchen sink LOL
