plastic surgery
I'm at the point where I am considering reconstructive surgery, and am seeking a surgeon, I'm getting tired of all the sagging skin and wrinkles. I had a mamogram on Thursday and they had to retake the top view because my boobs were too wrinkeled (funny but not funny). I'm not rich and insurance is not going to cover it. So I need a doctor who will consider a payment plan if anyone has any reccomendations drop me a line.

Congratulations on the PS!!! Bet you look GREAT!!!
Molly and I were discussing the "scheduling" of various procedures. I thought that breast and TT were not usually done together. Perhaps you can clear up the issue for us. What "groupings" of PS are typically offered?
Any info is helpful... I need a bit more time before I am ready for PS so I haven't really ventured to ask too many question of the PS forum gals yet...
but it's a good place to get info (neophyte lurker to the PS MB)

Welcome... Pattyanne and Tuty... I thought that you might want to be added to our little Dec. 06 members. To do so you'll have to POST about 2 subjects; not just reply. Seems that OH did a bit of revising a while back and deleted our much larger member listing. You will be able to see if you are listed at the left side portion of the board... Member List!
We'd love to keep this MB active and chatty! Hope to hear from you again!
Oh, Bother... My skin is just hangin'... pitiful! HeHeHe

Hi Patty! Can't offer you any help on surgeons in your area but I second Bea's suggestion of Care Credit. I am using that right now to pay for my dental bridge and may consider using it for PS next year when I have it paid off. I think this is the correct address to read more about it: www.geonlineservice.com
Good luck and sorry to hear you have to redo the mammo. It has been more than a year since my last one and need to get in there to do it but my problem is opposite...I had reduction in 2000 and now that I've lost weight from the rny I have just about zip breast tissue left for them to see so it is hard to do and really painful to squeeze those tiny little skin flaps that pass for breasts into that machine.

Most surgeons want payment in full, the hospital and anesthesia wanted payment in full before surgery day. What they will give you is the name to some financing places, I had a LBL after losing 142 pounds and paid 13,500 and I just had a consult for UBL (boobs, back skin and arms) and he wants 17,000 of course my insurance covers nothing. Best of Luck!!

Hi, Stephanie... Thanks for the info and pricing! Wow on the 142 # !!! I didn't know that the $$$$ was due "up front".... interesting....
How realistic an idea did the PS give you on how your UBL will look? Did he show previous work, computer images, drawings, or did he move your "parts" to where they "should be"? I have not gone for a consult and have no idea what to expect.
