Hello All
Hi Gang!
How is everyone? I just had a couple mins to pop in and say hello. I am working both jobs right now, my old one and my new one as a coordinator so life is sorta hectic.
I did start the new job last week. It's going well but it is overwhelming as I am helping build this thing from the group up. Put the exam rooms together and chart room together last week! I am blessed that my surgeon's wife (his nurse and coordinator at the old location) is contracted to work with me to guide me for up to a year if need be and can be longer to help get this thing going and off the ground. I will need the help as they want us to be a Center of Excellence and let me just tell you all, if you had your surgery at a "center" you are in GOOD hands, you don't even want to know what all it takes to become that label. WOWWWWW! Is all I can say. Normally they hire a nurse JUST to do this and I will be doing that PLUS everything else. They want me to be rounding on all patients etc.. they want their patients to KNOW who their coordinator is so she is a familiar face to them. I have to agree that I do like that as I have never met my own coordinator and they are a "Center".
Anyways, I am trying to just take it a day at a time. I have to give 8 weeks notice at my present job so I will be there probably through Thanskgiving or right before.
On another note, my folks are coming to visit me from Kansas City the week after next so I am excited to see them come up. My new job I told them I wanted that week off, I am doing them a favor by starting early so they understand and are apprecitive of whatever I can give them at this point since the clinic opened Oct 1st. We see our first pt though on Oct 7th and surgery on Oct 15th! It's very exciting! THe hardest part about working both jobs has been the flipping from days to nights, not so much the hours as I am only do 40-50 hours a week between the two (doing some work from home but not too much and a bit over at the old job at times).
Thats about it, which is enough I think :) My weight has been staying down, I am just too darn busy to raid the fridge I guess. I am holding aroudn 140-142. Happy with that.
Hope all of you are doing well, I will try to check in when I can!
Hugs!

Hi Ro,
Not an easy decision but I decided to step down, it was too much for me right now in my life. I got my old job back, I am happier now. It was so tough to call a meeting and tell everyone today. Talk about my pride but they wanted SO much out of this person that it wasn't giving up my life for this job :(

You might not believe this, but I am actually happy that you reaccessed your life and work load!
I know that you will always be a valuable asset to the Weight Loss community. Your current job offers you much more flexibility and potential to meet your special personal goals, such as having a family and your sanity.
I am proud of you for making this tough, but Correct decision! Today you have grown much more than you realize... You will not have regrets!

You are very right nancy and I do like to stay busy. Now I can say that my "busy" is because I am truly giving back to my WLS community. I am so blessed. Thanks for the compliments, it means so much... "amazing" not so sure :) But it makes a great start to my Tues morning :) Thank you.. you are so very inspiring yourself, everyone on this board is. I am so proud to be a part of it! Have a good rest of the week doll.

Girl, OF COURSE, they'll want you around all the pattients!!!!! U R a walking ad for WLS if there ever was one. You may want to choose to share the fact that once upon the time you had a weight problem too (which would, no doub inspire them), or you may choose to be just another beautiful and skinny chick helping them through the surgery process. The choice is yours...and either way.. i would have been blessed to have someone like you involved in my medical treatment.

Thanks so much nat! *blush* I think its almost expected that I tell them.. and from my interview, I am pretty sure they know that I would. I want to be a STRONG patient advocate for our WLS brothers and sisters :) I want to ensure they are getting the care they deserve and all people involved in their care are sensitve to all their needs. Again, thank you for your kind words.. I am getting ready to jump in the shower to go there now, what a wonderful way to start my morning :) Thanks for making my day. Love ya back. x0x0x0
