Same thing with links... such as my fondness for Santana on YouTube!... but that's off of the net's address bar...

Hi Amy,
For me the autumn decorations go up on Labor Day weekend...the general orangy/red stuff. Then the witches and ghosts go up on Oct. 1st but all over town I've been seeing cute houses done up with their Halloween stuff already. The pumpkins have already been in the grocery store parking lots for a week for heaven's sake!
Love your timeline on the Christmas decorations. I used to always do them the weekend after Thanksgiving but now that I work retail that weekend I'm so tired. Wish I could convince DH to let me do them earlier.
One thing different that I'm determined to do this year is to get the Christmas lights on the house while the weather is still nice. DH never helps with any holiday stuff...it is totally my 'deal' and I always end up on the ladder with rain or melting snow dripping in my face while I have the annual autumn headcold. This year I'm gonna be smart and do it while I'm still healthy and it isn't raining!!! (do you see me stomping my little foot here?)
So you have the kids' costumes selected but what about yours? You posted some really cute Halloween pictures last year if I recall and you looked pretty hot. How you gonna top that? Can't wait to find out! If I can get my act together I am going to sew a Carol Brady costume and have my hair straightened and then flipped out on the ends. Should be fun if I can manage to get it done in time.
Looking forward to the holiday itself but not in the least bit interested in shelling out for candy. There have been boxes and boxes of candies in the stores now for weeks and usually by now I'd have a pretty big stash amassed. Overbought last year and ended up with waaay too much leftover. I think I will wait a bit longer and see if there are any sales. Having the candy in the house doesn't bother me as long as I have my sugar free chocolates. And I always do!
Happy Autumn!
Molly
