 my friend's surgery page.

I know I have not been on much, but I would truly appreciate it you guys would sign my friend's surgery page.  She and I have the same surgeon, so I know she is in great hands, but could use a little support, and you guys are the best at that!!

Hope everyone is well..miss you guys!!

We miss you here!  You know that, Right?    Life is busy, but keep in touch... OK?

Happy that Stacy has made a very good choice, based on her co-morbidities and family history.
I wished her well and know that she'll be in good hands with you as her buddy!

Awwww...thanks - you are too sweet.  I am kind of getting the, "where have you been" and "why don't you call" from all my friends and family.  I have barely spoken to anyone in months.  I know, I am bad!
My mom seem to think I will work myself to death and every little sniffle is because of my busy life.  I would not go that far, we all get sick.  Just take some drugs and keep going.

Thank you for your kind words.

And how have you been doing?  Are you still feeling ok about having your profile open now or is that still difficult for you.  I sure love being able to put a face to you now.  I see no reason to hide it.  You are lovely inside and out.

Sounds like they miss you too... Hint, Hint... So you'll have to fit EVERYONE into your day!    On second thought that won't work either!  We'll just have to love you whenever you get "near"... So do that often!!!

The profile problem seems over, but I never know if it's too personal.  Go Figure! I do feel better about being more open and letting my Dec gang "see" me... Thanks for the compliments...
XOXOXO

Hi, Terisa... Just wondering how Stacy was feeling after surgery and having a few days out post-op.  I hope that all is going well.  Did you meet on OH or are you "neighbors" too?

What the time-line for your degree / certification???  I know that you've been pounding the books for some time now.  I know that  many times there are HOURS & HOURS of on-sight patient / client work prior to earning a degree... Where are you in the process?

I think that you'll be a wonderful Therapist!

Hey Ro - thanks for the compliment   I often worry that I do not have what it takes to be a good therapist so I have to trust what others say.  I am so anxious to get done with school and start.  It will be about 2 years until I am done with my Masters.  Then about a year for the practicum, which is like an internship.  So ,yes, there is plenty of onsite work I have to do.
After my practicum I will be a practicing therapist, but then I will have to work for about 3 years to complete all of my hours for the state and take the state exam to have the credentials of LPCC.  This is a major goal for any therapist and is well beyond a regular therapist.  I do not have to get it, but I want to.

Stacy is doing great!  She felt a little sick at one time after eating, but we all go through that and it was quite normal for a healing pouch.  She and I have the same surgeon.  We met on here through the Ohio forum.  She only lives about 15  min from me.  She just added eggs and cheese to her diet yesterday so she was excited!!  I remember that feeling.  You forget how much you miss chewing food until you are not allowed to do it.

And how are you doing lately?  Anything new going on with you?

Hi, T... Well, I just posted about feeling Humped!  Maybe you can give it a look-see for me.
I just have been feeling obsessed with food, as a result of frustration at home!
I'd realize that you have some time before you are LPCC, but help a sister out here!

YOU'RE doing so much and so well... PROUD of YOU... Go For the LPCC!!!

So glad to hear that Stacy is feeling well and able to eat already.  It took me a few months before eggs were tolerated by my new stomach so she's doing great in my book.  Send her my regards!
