I was thinking that this might help you too, Mel. If you could get past the initial 72+ hours that James talks about on the videos, maybe you'd get some "balance" with the sugars... Where does he usually post?

He has a website, I believe its wagonplan.com.. or do a google search for it. He also has the link on his profile on OH and that is how I have accessed it in the past. i just want you all to know  i myself tried this plan  didnt seem to work for me  i ate ever 2-3 hrs   low carbs very high protein and very high fiber   still didnt take away the hunger for  me   i didnt loose one lbs  even though i only tried it for 4 days   and to top it off i didnt have a BM the whoole 4 days  and that  never happens  to me...so i am not sure    y  ...  i seem to do fine   i can eat white carbs   i eat light breads  and low carbs wraps   i eat alot of south beach foods..i try and stay at 1300 or less  w/ calories  and i always have atleast 100 grams or more of protein   i dont count the carbs  but  i am always hungery  and dont think anyhting  will help.....

Interesting.... Glad that you mentioned your experience with the wagon plan.  It's hard to stick to a program once your bowels become irregular.  I tend to stay away from breads, but it's more because I am hooked on whole grain pretzels.  I don't worry about the number of carbs, but make most of them complex carbs.  I'm "hungry" when I don't drink at least 64 oz of water.  A non-fat yogurt  or piece of 2% cheese (1 light Babybel) helps me get to the next meal.

How do you handle your hunger?  Any "go to" foods that work for you?
