Dear Friends,
I realized that having a "closed profile" may not be such a great idea, especially omitting Friends. I welcome anyone interested in sharing "Friend" listing. I consider myself a fairly conservative and private person. Many of you already know that I routinely delete PMs, as I believe that it serves to ensuring privacy within this virtual setting. I have had a form of "lurker" issues in my past and feel that it is time to free myself from this insecurity.
My anxiety caused me to "delete" my previous "Friend" listing. I would hope that I am able to overcome this feeling now. It is a big step for me, which would symbolize a personal mini victory. I welcome you and hope for mutual regard of our privacy.
Sincerely,
Ro
Well hello there!!! I am so glad to hear that you are taking this big step. I had wondered why you did not have a profile, but never wanted to pry. You already know the Dec group is one big family and we welcome you with arms wide open and I would be honored to have you on my friend's list. I am not one to add people just for the sake of adding. As you can see my list is small, but you would be a welcomed friend.

Thanks so much, Terisa! It does mean a lot to me and this is a big step for me. Being part of the Dec group has been the most precious, irreplaceable part of my WLS journey. To have one foot inside and another outside the group just did not feel right. In the past, I have actually discourage members from being listed as my friend, due to family issues (my personal lurkers), but now the need to break free from my fears has brought me to this turning point.

Aaawww Gosh... Silly Me! So you're glad to "see me"... It's about time!!!
Now you know that I've always said that you have a beautiful smile SO I can't wait to see your pearly whites freed too!!!! You'll be stunning, my dear!
I'll have to make a trip to the library's computer to catch your unveiling, as it's time to hit the beach and I'll be "unplugged"!
Woohoo, Ro! I have long considered you a friend here whether you chose to use that little (sometimes silly) feature of this site. Like others, I applaud this big step you are taking and especially because it represents the personal growth you are struggling toward. You are an excellent role model!!!
Hugs Hugs!!!!!
