Lets just say, I skipped yesterday on purpose.. I ate too much! Not gonna lie.. but today i feel back in control and back on track, yesterday was lots of fun though! Food: Breakfast: Protein Shake with 8 oz soy milk and FF whippage Lunch: Black Bean Burger Taco Salad with my normal fixins Snack: EAS Shake on the way to work Dinner#1: Lemon Pepper tuna and salad w/ light balsamic vinegerette dressing Dinner#2: 3 oz chicken breast and 1 cup broccoli Exercise: I am running my tush on the unit tonight. I need to do better tho, last week was not good in the exercise department. I have a feeling the next two weeks might be the same considering I will be "on the run" most of it. I plan to swim on vacation though! Water: will get in 100 oz Vitamins: missed iron/vit c last night, gonna get it all in today! How did you do?

Hi! Hope your day goes well and your food sounds good. The cool thing about food holidays like yesterday is that we can overeat and get off plan but get right back on our plans again with our built-in diet aids. Yesterday was a big old grazing day and I didn't sweat it. Too much sodium in everything but so yummy and what a treat it all was and so much fun to share it with family. I had literally a forkful of some bucket-daquiri stuff and felt it immediately...so glad I don't have willpower problems with alcohol the way I do with sweets, it could be a disaster. My 'own' food treats were great...the faux-tato salad was delish, raw veggies that wouldn't get stuck were fun (broccoli, cauliflower, jicama), my Oprah turkey burgers were great and the sf desserts were a hit. I'm so glad they re-ran the Oprah's favorite summer things show to jog my memory about those turkey burgers. They are a lot of work but you gotta try them! (recipe at oprah.com) Just don't make the 8 oz. patties the recipe says, what a joke.... The only bad thing was that sitting around the backyard campfire in the evening and drinking some yummy decaf made me want another helping of dessert and it was a mistake! I had a small and mostly crustless piece of sf cherry pie and dumped...whoa, baby. Embarrassing and ucky! But it was nice knowing my surgery is still there working for me. Am thinking another nap would be nice today...so tired from two day's worth of cooking and then entertaining. Molly

Hey, How bad was the 4th?... I ate 2 sausage & pepper heros with chips and pumpkin bread at the BBQ. Mid-night snack was over 700 calories! No wonder I had a lower intake on the 5th!!! Truth or Dare? LOL Ro

My intake on the 5th was lower too but mostly because I took two long naps! What in the heck was pumpkin bread doing at a 4th bbq???? That is supposed to be autumn food! (LOL food police!) In my family the summer sweets roster always includes a choc. zucchini cake and pie...usually apple but I was a renegade and made that sf cherry pie. (and it was good!) How many chips did you eat? I did graze on some leftover chips yesterday and finally quit dipping into them and put some in a cereal bowl and quit when that was gone. No chips today! I am still feeling the extra sodium. My fingers and toes feel like sausages. Molly

The Women's Club has their bake sale on the 4th BBQ. The pumpkin bread was flying off the tray! Amazing! Most of the other goodies were kid-friendly... cookies and cupcakes ... and a few iced cakes, which I avoid! Your summer sweets sound Yum!!! Chips! Lay's Chips dipped in ketchup! I ate the amount that they served me, which was a small handful... standard chip serving, but I ate the same meal for lunch and dinner. Basically, 2 small handful of chips... 1 - 1.5 servings? Ro

I had a walking taco at one of the vedors and then split popcorn with my husband then had a smaller protein bar later and a SF, soy latte.. all extra calories I didn't need. Added up over 2k for the day, not proud of it but I know it was the "holiday" and I may just let myself do this on holidays.. I got RIGHT back on the wagon the day after, so I am not sweating it either just as Molly said. We gotta live right?

The 4th BBQ was very active, but there are so many new families living in the area that we only knew a handful of the old regulars. Seems many regulars made other plans this years; too bad, but we still had fun. No fireworks for us... just sleep!
