Pouch trouble?
Good Morning, Hope everyone is doing well this morning!Have a question, This last week I have been barely able to finish my meals. I can eat a couple bites and I am full. I am not complaining because it is great but was worried it might not be normal since I am 18 months out. Has anyone experienced this and is it ok? Yesterday For breakfast I had about 3 bites of egg and a couple bite of toast and I was done then for dinner couple bits of chicken and some noodles like two bites done, what is going on? thanks Kelly

Hi, Kelly... I only have pouch problems when I've had a case of "foaming" from an earlier meal that did not sit well with me, usually from dry food. Have you had an improvement? Are you eating several mini-meals to keep up your intake or drinking a shake? You might want to contact your Dr. tomorrow if you don't feel better.
Update on how tonight goes... I hope that you feel better!

Hi Kelly,
I am not sure why this happens but it happens to me also just not to the extent of 3 bites and full. I used to never feel full when I ate now I am feeling fullness again on normal portions which I *LOVE*.. why that is? I have NO idea but I won't argue with it!
And it may be that you are paying closer attention to signs of fullness. I know after I eat 3-5 bites of dense protein I could stop eating there but I also know that it isn't enough fuel for me so I finish my 3-4 oz portion without pain necessarily. I think b/c its heavy tho we can almost register that its a feeling off fullness after a few bites? I am certainly not telling u to overeat but just thoughts to ponder.
You can develop a stricture but you would be throwing it up. Have you been drinking more liquid meals lately? The 5dpt does that basically by relaxing the pouch as you know. Sometimes when I am drinking more shakes all the sudden I have more restriction when I try to eat more solid food.. something else to ponder. Anyways, I wouldn't be worried unless you cannot eat enough to supply fuel for your body. It is good that you are paying attention to what full feels like just don't get into the habit of taking 2 bites and each meal and saying "that's it", that is if you can eat more. If you cannot, then see your surgeon about it. Keep us posted!!!
