My day was not to bad BUT I only tracked Breakfast into FITDAY. My dad was in the hospital for over 2 weeks and came home Saturday and I spent Saturday night there and brough him home with me as I can not stay 1 1/ hours away as my kids are involved in to much and my husband can not take off all week. We put a bed in the living room and he is sleeping down here but he can not get around with out help. I am getting plenty of excerse as I am not sitting at ALL. I am glad he is here and I think it is good for him to be around PEOPLE instead of sitting at home alone missing my mom. Miss all of the post and I do not think I will be around Thursday night for the CHAT as we have a 8:00 ball game. Diana

Life sure has gotten busy for you. It probably is best that your dad stays with you now. Falls can be a problem, as you probably already know. Seems like older people would rather try to get out of bed without help; rather than calling for assistance. You might want to put a "baby monitor" in the room and one in your bedroom so that you can HEAR what your dad is doing. Maybe he'll even call you for help or buzz if the monitor has one, but it might be a matter of pride or a matter of forgetfulness. An Electrophysiologist, who works with many older pace-maker patients, recommended that all adults sit on the edge of the bed and dangle their legs for 1-2 minutes before trying to stand. During the 1-2 minutes, the blood pressure is able to equalize. He expressed that this method is very helpful in minimizing falls from bed, as the person is basically dizzy from the blood pressure change. Hopefully, you can find time for Number 1! Keep yourself healthy and happy, Diana.

Hi Diana. What stress load you have had lately.. hugging you close! You are your dad's angel right now. Trust me he knows this and appreciates more than he can even show you right now. I am so glad he has you.. so so glad. This has to be stressful for you but at the same time I can tell its the only way you would want it. Please try to not lose focus of yourself.. by you being healthy you help your dad in more ways then you even realize. Be good to yourself so you can be the best "nurse" for your father and angel. We will miss you on Thursday night. That is for sure. Hey.. remember my offer stands if you ever need to call and chat. I am here for you. Hugs, Melissa
