Say a Prayer for Diana
A lot of you have asked how we faired out with the storms. We are ok, it was brutal, I will not lie. I have NEVER endured this type of weather in all my life and hope to never repeat it. It was downright scary. Especially trying to get to work in it and getting stuck in it, etc.. my car was almost hit by lightning (hit a transmitter right next to me) and had to stop for a couple hours to let the funnels and winds go by.. wow. SCARED ME TO DEATH! My car met up with flood water and now its not acting right at all, so gonna take it in on Monday to let them take a looksie. Otherwise, we don't live in the area that got most of the floods.. I mean we got 8 inches of rain in an evening but still not near the floods that most people got in Mason City (where I work and go to the gym). But having to go there to work wasn't fun and then not having power or water.. u can only imagine what its like being a nurse without those resources. We got not a drop of water in our basement though, many in our town are still trying to recover.
Diana on the other hand got a lot of water in her basement and her town was impacted pretty bad in Indiana. I want you guys to say a prayer for her. She has had to deal with more than I and I can't help but think of her constantly and her struggles as well as her family's etc.. So all of you please take a moment to think and pray for her and her family.
Diana, I am so sorry this happened to you and remember you will end up stronger after all this is said and done. I know that is hard to see right now. I feel your pain as I got an upfront and personal glimpse of this in Iowa but I faired out well considering, you my dear are having a rough go of it. May the Lord take you in his hands, bless you and your family, and help you to find the peace that the earth once offered you. I pray that your suffering is lessened each and everyday as well as for your family and the rest of your community. In his name I pray.. amen. (I am not an overly religious person, but I felt an open prayer was necessary. I hope you don't mind.)

Wow...DH was home today and had the news on (I haven't had tv on in days) and I was so sorry to hear about these terrible storms. You all have been in my prayers and I will definitely double them up for Diana and her family.
This is the first post I've read today so I'll see what else I've missed this week...

Diana will certainly be in my prayers as will you Melissa. I have no****ched tv much lately, but knew enough to know there was tons of bad weather your way and Diana's way. While we are all at it, let's say a prayer for the boy scouts who were killed and their families. These were young teenage boys and when I look at my teenage son my heart ached for what these families are going through. My prayers to all.
