Just checking in..
Hi guys. Been MIA, as it's been noted, like so many. Can't say I've been super busy, just different things sidetracking me. I'm 18 months out on the 12th, and up a few pounds. I'm a tad worried about it, but then I'm almost positive it's hormonal too, as we've had a few issues the last couple of months. Not to be graphic.. LOL.. but April saw two weeks of PMS and two weeks of the husband hiding in fear for his life. Then May.. just a couple days of spotting, and for the last two weeks, the inability to stay awake past 9pm. Now, IF it WASN'T me, I'd say grab the pregnancy test, but you know.. it is me.
So, just waiting until the 2nd week in June to see if anything changes. Then, I'll test, and go to the OB/GYN to do whatever needs to be done.
And it's not like I'm craving certain foods, carbs, sugar, etc. It's just plain ole food! Hubby quirked his eyebrow at me yesterday, because it was a bad day, not typical of the last few weeks, but one that has me cleaning the cupboards at the house now, and headed off to the grocery store to set up the 5DPT. Not worried about the pouch being broke or anything, more just need to detox. Cause, ugh. there has been grazing, I tell you.. lots and lots of grazing! Mooooo!
Breakfast: 2 (TWO!) McDonald's sausage burritos (was out doing traveling for my work, so it was over the course of two hours, which is a no-no, I know)
Lunch: 1 1/2 small beef enchiladas, with zucchini & squash, and 1/4 c spanish rice
Snack: 1/4 bag of Peanut M&Ms
Snack: 8-10 Cheese Nip crackers
Dinner: 1 boneless pork rib
SNACK: SF/FF banana pudding w/ 1/4 c strawberries
SNACK: ANOTHER medium sized boneless pork rib
SNACK: small slice (minus the crust) of hubby's hawaiian pizza and 1 mini buffalo wing (baked, not fried.. fried kicks my arse!)
Water: 120 oz
See, I look at it and say, "Good god, that's a lot of eating, Heather. But then I look, and see also, a lot of it is protein." *shrugs* Body being so nutty. Now, you'd think with almost two weeks of some days being hit and miss like the above days, I'd be worse than what I am, when I stepped on the scale this morning.
SW: 260
LW: 150 (for like 1 day.. hehehe)
CW: 156 (had stabilized out at 153 for the last 5 months)
Other than that, love my new job, been playing another online game with the hubby and brothers, doing home sweep (given away soooo much crap that my mom held on to and I inherited when she passed away).
Sorry to be away so much, but to be honest, I'm working on getting back to a place where everything isn't focused on "me" and "my food cans and cants". I've had my almost two years of getting to be "all about me".. so, back to being more a part of a "couple". That and the infertility craziness makes it hard to stop by and read abou****ching food choices day to day, when the meds and hormones are SCREAMING, "Eat, kill someone, sleep.. and not particularly in that order). I'm good at 153, I go see my surgeon in 2 weeks, so I just want to kick the 3lbs off, and maintain.
Now, I'm going back to lurking.

Hi, Heather... I always love when you "resurface" from "Lurksville", but I'd love it even more if you'd just come here to play! At this far out, I'm surprised that our MB isn't more "chatty" and a bit less focused on the "food / gain issues" too. I think that a lot of our support this years is about becoming "normal" people, who were MO.
The Fertility Gods have a very funny sense of humor... as in the more the merrier! One at a time... is what I'm hoping comes your way!
Have a good Dr. visit! (and don't kill anyone!)

OH, and I forgot to mention! One of our rescues wasn't fixed, and we are now the proud parents of FIVE more midgets. They are three weeks old on Monday, and starting to get so dang cute!
Had to pop the hubby's hand and tell him to put them back, and "Don't get attached, they are going to new homes!"
11 cat household atm.. THANK GOD the big guys mostly stay out in the backyard!

Congrats on the new fur babies!!! Don't forget to post some kitty pics for us!!!!
11 cats!!! Now, You are playing with my emotions!!!!! I love cats... the more the merrier!!! Your DH is so understanding! My DH wants 1-2 cats max and Peach is way too tempermental to share his world.
Maybe you can check with neighbors and relatives to see if they want to adopt so the new kitty family can reunite from time to time.

Looks like our Dec. family is experiencing a lot of changes and a lot of lurking. We don't all have time to get onboard as often as before and as you said it is time we focus on others instead of ourselves. I am finding that it is so easy to slack off and not stay true to my eating plan when I don't at least get online to journal. But if i don't check in here when I am online journalling then I feel guilty and like I am letting you all down. Hope nobody feels that way, we all try to be here for each other as best we can. We are still a 'family' in our own crazy way.
Sorry to hear you have been having the PMS blues...there must be something about the month of May that had so many of us going. It seemed I'd never, ever get my period and I'd eat any carb not nailed down and even then I'd examine how closely it was attached. At least now that it finally came and went and I'm getting over the hormonal migraine my eating isn't so frantic.
Hope you have time to post pictures of your kitty babies before they go to their new homes. It must be so much fun having that many kitties underfoot. I am thrilled with just our two...they have enriched our lives SO, SO MUCH.
Hugs for you and hoping for good news for you.
