What did ya eat and how did ya move Wednesday?
Hey all...again, I have a minute, so I thought I'd post. I was feeling motivated to stay on track today with the loss at weigh in, so I made some relatively wise choices.
1) Decaf coffee w/half & half (must wean myself back to skim since pregnancy)
2) 3 breastfeeding cookies (don't have numbers for these yet...working on them)
3) Half tuna sandwich on whole wheat toast & small banana
4) Mini greek salad w/grilled chicken
5) 3 breastfeeding cookies
6****d decaf w/sf vanilla
7) not sure on this one...I'm hungry, but I'll be making a wise choice whatever it is
Will edit post with numbers later.
Moves: Errands, errands and more errands
How did you do??
LOL...I know...I said the same thing when I heard about them. They're decent. I guess what makes them "breastfeeding" cookies is the Brewer's yeast, oatmeal, flaxseed meal, all those things are supposed to promote milk, and apparently more appetizing when in cookie form...LOL. It's working I guess. I notice I'm more "leaky" when I eat them. I had supply issues with Samuel, so I'm doing everything I can this time around. She's gaining well, so again, must be working.

Headlines: Breastfeeding Mom Explodes at local Shop-Rite
OK... it wasn't that bad... but there I was on the check-out line... full of milk... on a last minute ERRAND. The store was packed so I had to wait. Then this hungry little newborn started to cry! Eventhough I had pads inside my nursing bra, there was no hope for me. The sprinkler system was on full tilt and I ended up with soaked pants.
Forget about the shirt... the pants were soaked too! Oh, the joys of mommyhood!

I breastfeed for about 1 year and never thought to double pad!
What I did realize was that if I ever got stuck away from home, I'd better empty the tanks a bit! Now, you don't expect to get to caught doing this, Right? Well, I did. We were at a dinner party that went on FOREVER. Finally, I couldn't take the pressure so I scoot off to the ladies room at the restaurant and just let them flow, as I hovered there. One of the children peeked under the door of the stall and asked, "What are you doing?" She was about 3 1/2 and kept asking me at the table when I got back to the group. They thought that it was quite funny and started to tease me! LOL

I know that you are an experienced Mom, but have you done this before with breast feeding. When my "baby"... now old pain in the butt at times"... would nurse, I'd place another mini bottle under the opposite breast. It would "let down" at the same time so I had a reserve supply without any real effort. It could be used later or frozen for the times that I was away and others were their to help out. After about 9 months, I started the actual "hook-up" weaning, but expressed to finish the year with my milk.
Now back to the "pain in the butt"... perhaps he should chip-in for the PS! The boy did a job on my set. Thank goodness I only had one to nurse. They are still heading south.
I've been looking at PS pics and it is just plain exhausting! Basically, I'm trying to find a body that looks similar to mine to get an idea of what "I" might look like later. Plus it's been so many years of sag that I don't remember where they actually belong. If I don't do something soon... they might end up in my jean pockets... the front pockets of course. LOL
At least yours will fit in the front...if mine get any bigger...mine will end up in the back!!
I never thought of placing bottles under my other. Though for me, nursing is a 2 handed job. I hold baby with one hand, and have to support myself with the other. That and make sure poor thing doesn't suffocate. I did think about trying to pump and nurse at the same time, but again...requires use of another hand.
I know what you mean about the PS looking. Before I got pregnant, I started shopping...since I planned to be at goal last summer. And I had to take a break because it was just too much. I think I'll be hard pressed to find someone who's body actually looks like mine. I'm sure they're out there, I've just yet to find them. Good luck in your search!

At Support Group, the Dietician suggested that I keep the calories up to regain, but limit the size of the food so that I don't feel ill like the other day. She also said to wait until the Labs are in to see what's going on with the rapid weight loss. Ro
