Hi! Late getting this reported but I had company yesterday afternoon and my schedule was off whack pretty bad. But we had fun and I managed to not overeat...even tho we barbecued! Woohoo!
1) protein hot cocoa
2) 'big' breakfast: 1/2 pumpkin waffle w/1 T craisins and 2T sunflower nuts (yumm!), 1/4 cup sf pancake syrup, 2 oz turkey ham, 'omelet': 1 serv. egg beaters w/mushrooms, red onion, red peppers....delicious breakfast!
3) 3 of Shelly's Spinach-Feta bites (numbers come out really good on this one!)
4) 1 prune, 1 sf fudgesicle
5) bbq: 2 portobello's topped w/1oz feta, 5 spears asparagus, 1 'slab' grilled zucchini
6) 1/2 cup nsa ice cream
calories: 927
carbs: 105

protein: 74
fiber: 34 (food plus supp.)
Very good numbers but the calories should have been higher.
For 'moves' half an hour on the treadmill and some abwork on my big ball
Very hungry this morning, I am going to thaw out a waffle and see how they pass the freezer test. Mmm, the pumpkin muffins sound yummy...did you ever try different flavour combinations? I still have to finish off the frozen 'chocolate' ones...they just aren't as satisfying as I'd hoped but still great protein and with some whip a nice treat.
Hope work went well!
Your breakfast sounds DELIGHTFUL! When can I come over? Hehe..
I am sipping on some decaf german choc brew right now.. oh it is heavenly. I was bad and had a vitamuffin with it. It's the only time I drink with my meals.. sometimes it just helps to satisify that yummy need and it doesn't leaving me hungry looking for more.
I haven't toyed with the pumpkin muffin recipe, afraid to.. now that you told me your story. I would love to try something.. just not sure what to substitute for 22 oz of pumpkin or if that should just remain a staple or what.. hmmmmmm any ideas?
I have everything to make the biscotti, just haven't gotten around to do it. It is on my Monday project, can't' wait. thinking that chai flavored something would be delightful.. hmmm and maybe some unsweetened white chocolate that you sweeten yourself with splenda as a coating? Thoughts? I can't wait till time slows down and u and I can get dirty again in the kitchen exchanging recipes. After my SG meeting next monday it gets consideribly slower again.. I hope anyway lol
Yum.. talk to you soon. Hope your weekend is going well..
Bad baking day here today...the only healthy things were a batch of sf pumpkin custards and a double-batch of your apple crisp. Everything else is either going into the freezer for potlucks or going to work to fatten up people there. I am actually sick of the smell of chocolate! To the point that I've got both the front and back doors open to get it out of the house. I should mark the calendar, never thought THIS day would come!
I'd still leave the pumpkin in the pumpkin muffin recipe but change up the spices and the vanilla protein for something else. A lot of times you can sub pumpkin for applesauce but just think how much thicker pumpkin is than that...it is a bit worrisome imagining that substitution! Theyd be too mooshy.
So what would you recommend for me to start with as a beginning order of that yummy coffee? I looked at the website and could not believe the variety of flavours! Woweee! We have a specialty roaster in town who does stuff like that but apparently not this time of year...they got nuthin but their usual 'fancy bean' blends. I'm not that much of a coffee connisseur. If I'm going to have coffee it is either A: really strong to wake me up or B: dessert flavoured for a treat. Can't wait to place an order with this company, I'm so glad you passed along the website! (http://www.8thsincoffee.com for anybody else who wants delicious coffee)
Your chai idea sounds terriffic! And where do you find unsweetened white chocolate? That sounds really smart, that way you can control what sweetener you use as well as how much. Love that!
Time slowing down? Ha! My sister was visiting yesterday and looked at my calendar in amazement, I think. She had just been fussing at me because I was wanting to be a housebody and stay at home but after she looked at my calendar she felt bad and realized that the weekends are the only times I'm actually AT home much with so many weekly errands and appointments. Typical normal life for us all these days, isn't it?
Still have one more day to go before I'm allowed to wash my hair and it is driving me nutz! The curl is all evened out now and the gray roots are gone but it needs to be straightened to see how that worked out but I have to wait for the cuticles to close down. In one big session parts of my head got curled, parts got straightened, it all got colored and then it got cut. And the wallet got bruised.
Molly
Hi Molly, I agree with the pumpkin muffins.. I will have to see what I can sub on those as far as powders, spices, extracts etc.
As for the coffee.. the blueberry crumble is AWESOME! (I know sounds weird, but its great esp with splenda and some FF half and half - just a teaspoon at a time). The German Choc is devine! I use just splenda in it. (I never drink anything totally black btw) and the cookiedoodle was "ok". I have heard from Amy that the Sin-abon or something like that is to die for.. she gave me a sample of the tiramasu.. it was good but nothing overly fabulous. I would love to try the bananas foster
I saw some unsweetened white chocolate bars at a grocery store.. expensive.
yes, life does get so dang hectic doesn't it?
Ah, I am so bad and wash mine the next day.. lol. It has never affected it. How many days did they recommend u wait? 48 hours?
